The unique blue finish and an advanced mesh design give the Hiper HPU-4B580 a unique "stratospheric" look. The mesh provides enough ventilation to significantly reduce the need for forced air cooling. This reduces power consumption and lowers noise emissions. This 580 Watt power supply is armed with two blue LED fans (1 x 120 mm + 1 x 80 mm) that provide ample cooling and keep it up and running in all situations.
The Omnigrid design makes cabling very easy and also allows you to customize it to your heart's content. exTender cables connect up to 12 devices. The after-cooling function lowers the temperature of the power supply immediately after shutdown. The temperature protection circuit protects the HPU-4B580 in cases of extreme overheating. Similarly, the over and under voltage protection circuits safeguard from erratic voltage and power fluctuations.
This power supply is both SLI and CrossFire-ready. Multi-braided cables offer immense EMI protection and minimize stray magnetic interferences, and the EZ-Grip Molex connectors are easy to plug/unplug. Go ahead; wire this up with everything you've got!

Fantastic Experience
- Pros: This power supply is beautiful to look at, rock solid, and feels very sturdy. It keeps all my rails perfect, and the modular design is the best I have seen, as there is no way to accidently remove the cables. I bought some zip ties and plastic mounts, and made my case look quite clean despite this running an overlocked opteron 170(2667), 2x7900GT's in SLI, A Raptor 74 Gig 10K RPM HD, and 2 7200 RPM IDE HD's, and 4 120mm fans. Also, the fans are absolutely silent in this bad boy, and stay on after turn off to ensure everthing cools off after use
- Cons: Newegg didnt sell it when I purchased this for 20 bucks more 2 months ago.
- Other Thoughts: If you need SLI buy this. You will not be dissapointed.
The best PSU Ever!
- Pros: Great finish, like a mirror - Aviator Molex plugs, absolutely ingenious!!! - LED Fans - Fan on back stays on 5 min after off to cool PSU components and prolong life - constant power - dual 12v rails - Every connector possible
- Cons: WOW! About time newegg got this thing! I needed a new PSU about 1 year ago when I upgraded to SLI. I wanted molex, and i needed serious power, so I headed out to read some reviews. I stumbled upon this thing, and after reading numerous reviews with all good things to say I decided to try this out and I couldn't be happier. It's been working flawessly since I've had it now, neever a hiccup. Runs my SLI rig, 2 sata hard drives with fan coolers, 4x80mm and 1x120mm fan, front display, 2 DVDR with no problems
- Other Thoughts: The aviator style molex plugs is the best idea ever! Each PSU output has a link (all different sizes) that attaches and SCREW onto the PSU (no more disconnecting molexes). Then there are all types of adapters (SLI card, SATA, 4Pin, regular) that you join onto the links that you ran from the PSU, so you can attach the adapters to whatever length link you need for your case, and you can leave out links and adapters you don;t need! I can't even explain how neat my case looks too! The wrap on the wires is the same color as the PSU, whatever color you pick. I actually wrote and reccomended that Newegg carry this. It even won PIMPRIG PSU of the year!!! GREAT PSU, about time Newegg got it!

Great PSU
- Pros: Great finish nice blue to go with LED's on my case. nice add with the 5 min cool down time. im absolutly in love with the screw in molex CHEAP
- Cons: about a week into buying it i got this annoying rattaling sound thought i was going nuts checked every crevace of my case turned out to be the PSU against supports fixed it though with a wad of paper
- Other Thoughts: Overall Great PSU would recommend to anyone minor annoyance with the rattaling but not its fault Also makes a great night light feels like there's a blue sun in the room
- Pros: Very nice modular cables, aviator style plugs screw into the power supply so there is no chance they will come loose once attached. 120mm intake fan/80mm exhaust design. Long, flexible cables provided. SLI support. Low price as far as ~600W power supplies go.
- Cons: Rated for only 360W on the 12V line, which is the most important for modern PCs, which is VERY low. Uses cheap capacitors. No Power Factor Correction. Mediocre efficiency.
I have strong reservations for this power supply's performance. Deceptively low 12V rail voltages. Even at 360W, it should be able to support most non-SLI systems, but it blew out after 6 months running not very intensive loads on a modest system (e6600, 7900GT, 2 HDD, DVD).
- Other Thoughts: Beautiful finish, looks great, blue LED lights up the system, will look wonderful in any windowed case. The toolbox it came with was very handy.
I would recommend getting a better, more expensive power supply if you need 600W. Corsair HX/VX series recommended.
Its gets the job done with style
- Pros: Its very quite and runs very cool. The mirror blue finish is very sexy.
- Cons: No 8pin CPU power connector, it comes with a 4pin.
- Other Thoughts: Love it and would and will buy again.
