Acer H243Hbmid 24" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 40000:1 Max (ACM) Built-in Speakers

Pros: well, in 2009, this was a $200 (on sale) good monitor. But, then it died in 2010.... so.....

Black spots appear in the corner, about the size of a golf ball, just completely DARKER spots

Cons: I have returned this monitor, at my expense, three times. I sent it in in 2010, in 2011, and in 2012.

The first time, they sent it back to me and it was Still broken. Oh the lamp worked this time, but the screen had a big black bar going down the middle, about two inches wide ??

Then, in 2011, same issue happened (under normal use, with the monitor being turned off when not in use) There are darker areas that start forming or appearing, and the right third of the monitor is about ONE THIRD DARKER then the rest of the monitor.

Ulitimately, I shipped this back to TX to Acer, at $34 each time, THREE TIMES, and about once per year, the monitor would break and require me to ship it to ACER

Other Thoughts: They got two eggs, not one, because they DID issue me an RMA each and every time, and then, the THIRD time, they sent me a NEW REPLACEMENT and not just repair the old I sent in.

I am currently typing on Acer's "new replacement" they sent me (it came retail-sealed, as though pulled off some retailers shelf, so I do beleive I got a "new" product)

AND IT'S STARTING to go out again, it's got dark areas growing in the corner, and sometimes the backlight flickers green, red, green, blue, green, and then shuts off and then turns back on again. I have swapped the DVI cable so many times, lol, and tried four different ports on my video card.

Pros: High quality, good value for the money. I've been very happy with this monitor and the price I paid for it, and it's served me well through two moves and two years.

Cons: Input button has some trouble registering so if you need to switch inputs often you'll find it annoying.

Pros: This is an incredible monitor. I use it for all of my gaming, and I am not disappointed one bit. If I didn't already have two monitors for a dual-monitor setup on my PC of a different monitor, I would buy a second one of these.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Amazing!

Pros: I bought two of these for $200 each with free shipping from newegg. Shipped fast!. Easy install. Free software came with them. NO dead pixels. No problems.

Cons: No cons for me. I've read other reviews about these monitors breaking, but mine work fine. 8-10 hours a day 7 days a week.

Pros: This monitor is without a doubt the best I have ever purchased. I am a gamer and an IT professional and see a lot of hardware... this is definitely a gem. Color and video are very clear.

Cons: Probably the single drawback is the overall weight is a little high and the standby seems a little slow sometimes when coming back online

Other Thoughts: I'm buying this monitor again as my 3rd monitor.

Pros: Nice screen, and was on sale when I got it, got 2 of them, at least ONE of them is still working.

Cons: Got 2 of them, one of them is now dead, the back light went out, hasn't even been a year, what a waste to have to toss a nice $200 monitor away.

Pros: Low the size and price. Have an identical monitor only in the 22" size. Comes with all the needed cables and has speakers.

Cons: Speakers work but aren't very loud.

Other Thoughts: good deal just wait for the price to drop some.

Pros: Possibly the best looking display I've ever had in front of me. Good brightness and level backlighting. No stuck or dead pixels. Overall, a great value at any price.

Cons: The built in sound is good enough for an emergency, but I wouldn't use it for every day.

Other Thoughts: I don't have any other thoughts, that's what my girlfriend says.

Pros: Great Monitor!!! I have not made a better purchase in my life. The display is awesome, looks great, and functions well. I Definitely plan on getting another.

Cons: The touch buttons are kind of hard to work, but honestly, who really fools around with that all the time. They function, and they aren't little rubber/plastic buttons that collect dust and require cleaning.

Other Thoughts: Great monitor! Get one!

Has great picture with lots of inputs
Gamed on it for a while before buying a bigger tv
