Most Favorable Review

Great little controller, sparse directions

5.25" Touch Screen Fan Controller
5.25" Touch Screen Fan Controller

Pros: Controls 1-5 fans, nice tech display without being overwhelming. I like being able to decide where to put the thermocouples that monitor temps. Overall good value

Cons: The "directions" are a joke - pretty much plug stuff in and hope it works. It was faster to just figure out how to get it working by trial and error. But once you do, it is a nice controller

Overall Review: Overall, if you don't mind getting under the hood and tinkering around (and you probably are if you are shopping NewEgg), then this is a really nice controller that is slightly less than intuitive.

Most Critical Review

Unstable, unreliable, nightmare of underdeveloped product from a great board MFG

MSI PRO PRO X670-P WIFI DDR5 AM5 AMD Ryzen™ 7000 Series SATA 6Gb/s ATX Motherboards, Wi-Fi 6E, 2.5G Network Solution, Frozr AI Cooling.

Pros: This is a beautiful board with all the specs. The installation instructions are adequate, and it is well packaged. I would be more excited about extolling its positive traits except for the constant nightmare of sporadic inability to recognize the wifi and half the USB ports don't work. Sigh.

Cons: The board has trouble recognizing the M.2 drives and will not recognize its own onboard wifi or LAN connection. Lots of chatter about this board and these problems on Reddit, but I was hoping that MSI would have resolved all the BIOS and compatibility problems by Xmas, when I bought this board for my son's build. Nope. I am so sick of installing BIOS updates that fix one problem and move the non-recognition to some other device.

Overall Review: I have built my own computers since the 1980s, and have never had the problems with a MB like this one. I generally LOVE MSI boards and am willing to pay a little more for its normal quality level. After almost 40 hours of tinkering, everything is recognized, except the front USB ports. Temps are great, power is clean, and I am not overclocking at all, but now the PC shuts down or reboots after maybe 4 or 5 hours of use. I am embarrassed for the MSI corp for pawning this half-developed board onto the consumer base.

Great Card - Rip Off Rebate

Asus GTX670-DC2OG-2GD5 GeForce GTX 670 Graphic Card - 980 MHz Core - 2 GB GDDR5 SDRAM - PCI Express 3.0
Asus GTX670-DC2OG-2GD5 GeForce GTX 670 Graphic Card - 980 MHz Core - 2 GB GDDR5 SDRAM - PCI Express 3.0

Pros: Great Card - Good price Installs easily

Cons: The Asus "Shell game" for rebates is a complete rip-off, just assume the price you pay does not include the rebate. They ask for a mountain of documentation, and if you deviate even slightly (ie, hand writing the label instead of cutting out the one on their form) or submitting the "order details" form from Newegg instead of the identical "invoice" form, it will be rejected - in essence, they will always find some reason to reject it, hoping you will give up. What a disappointment, makes an otherwise great product completely distasteful.

Overall Review: I get the whole rebate thing, the intent is to lower the perceived price and count on the laziness of the buyer to allow the company to keep the extra cash. But after carefully filling out all my forms, sending it in, and a month later to hear that "the invoice is not correct" makes me seriously consider my buying strategy from both Asus and Newegg. I love that you have to call India to even talk to the rebate folks, who of course, are powerless to make any decisions or understand the problem.

I love this case!

Thermaltake V9 BlacX Edition with Docking Station (NewEgg Exclusive) SECC / Mesh ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail
Thermaltake V9 BlacX Edition with Docking Station (NewEgg Exclusive) SECC / Mesh ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail

Pros: I LOVE the external SATA drive bays on top - not just for hot swapping, but for configuring HD and SSDs prior to install. The USB3 is a nice touch, and there is plenty of cooling options. A bit cramped inside, but still fits my massive Hyper 212 CPU fan/cooler and my long video card - but just barely.

Cons: For a mid towwer, a bit cramped inside. My 230mm fan on top started making noise a month or so after my build. Thermaltake claims to have "the best" return policy, which means if you keep all your receipts, and are willing to endure their "3rd ring of hell" customer support system, you will eventually (at your own mailing expense) get a replacement part.

Overall Review: I have SIX internal drives - two SSDs, Two HDDs, and Two Optical drives - They all install and work with plenty of room. The external drive bays take an additional two SATA ports on my Motherboard, but hey, like others have said, the ability to have an External Drive able to be configured like an internal with hot swapping is worth replacing the "short lived and cheap" case fans even if they die prematurely.

Nice Blue Ray Drive - Quiet!

LG Black 12X BD-ROM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM SATA Internal Blu-ray Drive Model UH12LS28 OEM LightScribe Support

Pros: Inexpensive and Highly Functional

Cons: none

Overall Review: Really, this is a nice drive it installs an plays nice with both Win7 and Win8 OS

Nice...but died?

MSI K9A2 Platinum AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard
MSI K9A2 Platinum AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Documentation is good, lots of SATA, plenty of connectors

Cons: SATA connectors and led plugs are right by the 2nd card in crossfire mode. If you have 2 long video cards, it is tough to get them in without banging stuff around. Oh yeah, and then there is the sudden death of the board after a week.....

Overall Review: Ran great for a week, and then just died. no video. Infant mortality? Will update when I see how Newegg's RMA process works.
