Pretty screen, horrible chasis design
Pros: Huge screen, 1920x1200, bright!
Cons: got a few of these monitors to mount on a desk mounted arm array. And these do have VESA 100x100 holes, though what is omitted from the information is the fact that one of the screws to remove the base has a 'warranty void' sticker over it! So, by removing the stand the warranty will be voided? how could this have been a good idea? Fortunately, the stand itself can be deconstructed and 2 bolts fasten the majority of the stand on. So, instead of attempting to mount theses with the entire stand stalk, there is a small metal bracket that sticks out 2 inches. Thus the 1 egg deduction...I was still able to mount these monitors, it just took more frustration than I had anticipated (any idea how much a stand that supports 28" monitors costs!?!).
Overall Review: After reading some of the reviews that are stuck in RMA purgatory with the manufacturer, it may not be such a big deal to bust through some of those 'warranty void' stickers as the warranty seems as flimsy as the sticker. Though, I hope to never need experience that.
Pros: Nice braided cables, plenty of length. Handles everything i have thrown at it.
Cons: Now, the reasons for the 2 eggs. At first, the fan would not spin. Looking closer, there was a piece of plastic that was connected to the pcb and long enough to interfere with the fan that was stopping it!
Overall Review: I'm glad i found out why it was so freakin hot before it overheated and died (as other reviewers have experienced). You would think that for this much, they would have a QC dept, and would catch things like this. . .go with another brand.
Suffers from horrible design, NOT Oculus friendly
Pros: Solid performing board
Cons: the USB 3.0 chipset is not supported by Oculus and with the bad decision to put the PCI-E 1x slot right where the heatsinks of most modern video cards go, it's not possible to add on a supported USB controller.
Overall Review: I had hopes of using this board to power my Oculus Rift system since it was small and has worked well for me for a year. Sadly, a USB 3.0 controller that doesn't fully support USB 3.0 (go figure...) and really bad placement of expansion slots (you didn't really want to USE those right?), it's a mediocre board if you don't want to do anything other than web browsing.
Great until it died
Pros: Solid build, great to type on. Massive cord, USB 3 port, lots of nice features. Got a few months of use out of it.
Cons: Awesome until it stopped working randomly. Now the profile button lights up, but none of the keys light up and the keyboard doesn't register anything. No way to update the firmware.
Overall Review: From a great keyboard to a large paperweight.
Worked well when it did
Pros: It did work well. Nice, strong signal throughout a 2 level house with the unit at one end.
Cons: Just at the one year mark it died. Won't power on any longer. I'm not sure if it's the power pack or the unit itself. Either way, expected more out of a Netgear product. Sadly, the products have been in decline for a while now.
Overall Review: Once I locate my multimeter, I'll be able to tell if it's the powerpack or the unit. If it's the unit, then I'm afraid Netgear is not at the top of my list for a replacement unit.
nice and easy
Pros: Plug in and boot up. Great price.
Cons: none yet.
Overall Review: Works great in my setup: ASRock 890FX Deluxe5 with Phenom II x4 955. Plenty of room to run a few VMs.
