This review is from: Autel MaxiScan MS300 OBDII Auto Diagnostic Scan Tool Code Reader
Pros: Simple to use, does what it says in an easy fashion.
Cons: Software will not work on newer computers (it is outdated). For those of you having problems finding a manual or getting the software to install, I can help... See other thoughts below.
Other Thoughts: For those who can not install the software on newer systems, I installed it successfully with my 'XP Box' and transferred the installation files over to a win 7 x64 machine and found that method works fine. You can find the install files here: mediafire.com/download/d0q7ics6li24u6z
All you need to do is unzip it (preferably into your Program Files (x86)) folder, right click and make a shortcut to the DTCHelp file, and paste the shortcut wherever you want (desktop, Start menu, etc). The manual is included in the folder, you can make a shortcut to it or move it where you please.
This should make it a lot easier rather then trying to Google codes or install an app on your phone. I noticed someone else posted a link to the manual as well, but it is dead, hence why I included that in the file as well.
Pros: Good condition for a Grade B, Packaged well, had proper memory and processor. All drives are sata. Everything runs quiet, a simple blowout for dust bunnies was all it needed. Also came pre-installed with windows 7 x64 and a few other key software's plus windows backup discs for both x86 & x64. For an upgrade from a Pentium 4 Celeron to this for the price is 'sick'.
Cons: See below, none really.
Other Thoughts: Started as a slight Con: Came with a 'not-so-hot' dvd drive. Had to bang on the case to get it to open. I called the number referenced in the mailing slips, left a message, they called back an hour or so later, and within 5 minutes they were sending me a 'new' DVD drive. I expected a used one in better condition but it appears I instead actually received a new one. Con rectified. Very Pleased.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Brother MFC-J450DW Wireless Color Multifunction Inkjet Printer
Pros: Great printer, easy to set up, fantastic quality you have come to expect from BROTHER.
Cons: Uses newer version of BROTHER's 'Control Center', version 4 - This is not backwards compatible as you would think it would be with other BROTHER printers using older control centers. What this means for you, is that if you like using this software, and have older printers on your computer/network, be prepared to run BOTH version of the Control Center on all computers you want to utilize both printers... C'mon BROTHER, we expected more from the leader in printer tech...
Also this uses the new 101/103/105 series cartridges - same as old ones except they have the 'counter chips'. Be aware...
Other Thoughts: The counter chip will NOT make it so you CAN'T print, just make it very annoying (have to clear annoying message from screen after EVERY page when counter hits threshold). Still a shame in a world screaming for sustainability to market something like this...READ FULL REVIEW
