Great monitor, not perfect, but great.
Pros: Great size for the price and the refresh rate is great. The monitor is bright and the colors are vivid. The performance of the monitor is really pretty good. I use this monitor for work and for play and have logged hundreds upon hundreds of hours in front of it. Games look great on it and I have plenty of pixels for my liking. The speakers built into the monitor are pretty good compared to some monitors. Of course, you'll likely want to get an external set though if you play games or listen to music using your PC. For regular business or personal use they should suit your needs.
Cons: The negatives for this monitor are primarily in the construction. The stand is not adjustable, so the height is the height. The stand itself is a little thin, so the monitor wobbles slightly when pressing the buttons on it or when the desk is bumped. If you are constantly bumping into things then this monitor may not be for you. I don't have an issue with it though. The menu's and instructions that come with the monitor aren't the easiest to follow which is something I find true of many Asus products.
Overall Review: I'm really satisfied with this monitor. If I had the dough to purchase another one I wouldn't think twice. It's light, fairly thin and looks nice. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to get a big monitor without spending a big amount.
Easy to install and set up.
Pros: Size to Price Ratio
Overall Review: This drive was easy to set up and so far has performed quite well. This is my first WD drive after recommendations from tech savvy family members and I am please with the purchase and performance. The cost for a SSD of this size is what drew me to this particular model.
Fantastic Keyboard
Pros: I really like the backlit keys on this keyboard. I built a system that uses a lot of red in the design and thanks to being able to customize the color of the backlight I was able to match the rest of my setup perfectly. When the room is dark and my computer is on the red lights look fantastic. There are plenty of customizable functions on the keyboard; in fact, probably more than I'll ever use. Gamers who like having plenty of options for macros and customizable keys will find plenty here. The keyboard itself has a great feel to it and sounds solid while typing, but not clicky or particularly loud as many other mechanical keyboards feel. The LCD screen is a nice addition and matches whatever color you choose for the backlit keys. The LCD screen has some nice features such as being able to monitor CPU and RAM usage and when playing games the screen often shows game specific stats. You can even switch to have it stream news headlines, etc. I've had the keyboard for several months at this point use it daily. It doesn't show fingerprints really at all so it still looks clean and attractive.
Cons: Honestly I can't find any real flaws with this keyboard.
Overall Review: This was a great feature/cost option for me. My primary reasoning to get this keyboard was to have a quality keyboard that I could adjust to match the lighting of the rest of my setup. I've been pleasently surprised with everything else from the moment I set it up. There are plenty of keyboards out there that do more, but honestly I don't think I'll even be able to use this one to its full potential. And I felt the price was fair. I would definitely recommend the Logitech G510.
Travis Touchdown as a Cheerleader
Pros: There are a lot of unlockables in this game and the soundtrack is really pretty good. It's not as over-sexed as some of the initial reviews make it sound. Sure there's some suggestive themes, but anyone who played and enjoyed No More Heroes won't find anything particularly disturbing here. It's a fun game with enjoyable characters and some mature humor. What's not to like?
Cons: The game's a little short and if you're going to play in a marathon session the gameplay can get somewhat repetitive. However, the developers mix in a lot of gameplay elements to mix things up from time to time.
Overall Review: The cheerleader even runs like Travis Touchdown of No More Heroes. This game isn't going to take you long to finish, but the characters are memorable and it's generally a lot of fun. I'd very much like to see a new No More Heroes that borrows the improvements made to the combat and upgradeble move sets that this game features. I absolutely recommend this game to any No More Heroes or Zombie Bikini Squad fans. It's actually pretty well done despite what you may have read elsewhere.
Great board with a seemingly common problem.
Pros: This board has a terrific feature set for the price. I was drawn to the built in dual band wifi and the USB 3.0. I was really pleased with how easy it was to install. Looks great with all of my other red components and red LEDs. Has some good Republic of Gamers features in the BIOS. The drivers section of ASUS's website had all the latest drivers and they were easy to download and install.
Cons: The first board delivered worked great until I installed the mPCI card that contains the wi-fi card. The board wouldn't post with it connected. I saw this as an issue for other reviewers on NewEgg and in the manufacturer response to a couple the person suggested removing the mPCI card and seeing if the board would post. This has to be a common issue and for those who get this and the board won't post I suggest you try this to see if that's the issue. ASUS customer service was awful. The first time I called the "technician" didn't have a clue what I was talking about. He gave me some bogus things to try (make sure the power supply is good, the CMOS battery, etc.) that I knew weren't the problems, but went out to buy a new battery all the same. When I called ASUS back the next day, I couldn't get through to a technician so someone got on the phone, took my info and indicated I'd get a call back within the hour. The next DAY, when I didn't get the call back I called them. Waited on hold for 20 minutes and then someone picked up (I could hear them) and they immediately hung up on me. I waited 5 minutes and called back, waited on hold for another 15 and then a woman picked up and told me they "were swamped" and "[she] couldn't do anything for [me] right now". She again took my contact info and promised a call back. It's two weeks later and I haven't heard a peep from them. After that second call I reached out to NewEgg. They ran through some options with me and ultimately I decided to RMA the board. NewEgg was great. I still had all the original packaging and part and even the shipping box. I packed it all back up and a week later I had my second board. Put it together, tested it, installed and it has been working great ever since. Also, fyi, the troubleshooting sections in the manual and on ASUS's website are laughable. You'll have better luck with other consumers in forums.
Overall Review: For the price, this is easily a 5 egg board. ASUS was lousy support (minus 1 egg), but NewEgg's customer service was great to work with. Just make sure you save the original packaging for the board to make your RMA process smooth. I don't regret my purchase; I really love the hardware. I am nervous, however, about something going wrong later on and having to work with ASUS instead of NewEgg.
