Great deal

Xbox LIVE 12 Month Gold Membership Card
Xbox LIVE 12 Month Gold Membership Card

Pros: I got this on a sale, $45 for a year. Very good deal, the code worked and immediately I was able to sign in and play with friends online.

Cons: None, cheap and it worked. What's there to complain about?

Overall Review: The price is the regular $60 now, maybe it will go down to $45 again some day. I'll be waiting for that, I don't mind paying the full price but it's always nice to get discounts.

Not worth the money

SCUD M30 Hobbit Silver 3000 mAh Power Bank External Battery Charger for Tablets, Smartphones, and Other Mobile Devices
SCUD M30 Hobbit Silver 3000 mAh Power Bank External Battery Charger for Tablets, Smartphones, and Other Mobile Devices

Pros: It has a power button, and it looks very elegant

Cons: So, here we go. First, the tiny slip that is supposed to be documentation sucks. You can tell it was created using Google Translate, and it really doesn't say much about this device. Second, this thing can't hold a charge for spit. Using a USB charger that is demanded by this device (5V @ 1A), the LED lights up green meaning it's "complete". Yet when I plug it into my Samsung Galaxy Note 3, it will only charge about 15%. I have tried different electronics, same results. I have also tried different ways of charging it, same results.

Overall Review: I bought TWO of these, one for me and one for my girlfriend. BOTH exhibit the exact same issues, surprise surprise! Needless to say, BIG mistake. I had an old, tiny Thermaltake power pack which my mother practically stole from me since she liked it so much. I think I'm gonna buy those instead, or steal it back from my mom.

Nyko Xbox One Cooler Fan

Nyko Intercooler Xbox One
Nyko Intercooler Xbox One

Pros: Nyko has been making console products for a while, they've always been good quality and pretty reliable. The unit itself looks nice, it matches the Xbox One's design and color, it hooks up very easily on the hot air exhaust on the top of the unit. You can tells it cools very efficiently, it seems to be temperature based as when the system gets hotter the fan will start increasing the RPM. The fan is definitely of better quality than the built-in fan inside of the system. Easy to install, on top of the exhaust grill, all you have to do is line it up and put pressure from the top to clip it in, on the top side near the back it has a lock handle, which will secure the fan to the system instead of just letting it sit on top of it. You then hook up the USB cable on the back USB ports and you're set.

Cons: My first and top complaint is this fan will continue to rev up and function even when the system is turned off, this is probably due to the temperature gauge. Even after turning your system off, it will still be hot enough to activate the fan even after a couple of minutes. It will continue to run then stop and run again as it keeps triyng to cool the system. It's nice that the unit is smart and keeps cooling but for people like me which have their systems in their bedroom, it can make trying to sleep a bit more challenging. The fan itself is loud, this is probably to a higher RPM and a bigger and better fan. I do like the fact it keeps the system very cool, I use a headset so the noise hardly bothers me while I'm actually on the system but it may be a negative for people who likes using speakers/sound systems.

Absolutely horrible

Acer Laptop Aspire Intel Core i5-4200U 4GB Memory 500GB HDD Intel HD Graphics 4400 15.6" Windows 8 E1-572-6870
Acer Laptop Aspire Intel Core i5-4200U 4GB Memory 500GB HDD Intel HD Graphics 4400 15.6" Windows 8 E1-572-6870

Pros: If this machine didn't fail after only 2 months, I would be more willing to write down the pros.

Cons: It is absolutely ridiculous that these days a laptop cannot go more than 3 months without having some sort of critical error, I do not appreciate burning my hard earned money on a product that will die out only a few days later. This is Acer, a manufacturer that I used to believe was quite decent. I've used their laptops before, which is why I decided to purchase this one. Big mistake.

Overall Review: So I am on the Acer tech support website, filling out the request for a system repair. After spending a lot of time answering all their stupid questions, I get close to finishing. I take a simply break to take a picture of the problem so Acer has something to use as reference and what happens when I return? My request has "timed-out", meaning I had to go through the whole process again. Seriously, a time-out period on a system repair page? Yeah, no. I'm not going through that bull again, I will keep my broken system and they can keep my money. I thought Acer was a decent company, not anymore. I will never purchase any product with the name Acer on it again, they can all go screw themselves. Way to not only make bad, piece of shoot products, but also also slap clients trying to do the right thing.

MBAM Pro Lifetime

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro Lifetime - 1 PC
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro Lifetime - 1 PC

Pros: As an IT professional and network engineer, I have tried various different types and brands of anti-malware software whether it has been the basic free edition or the corporate editions. MSE, AVG, Avast, Avira, Norton, Kaspersky, ClamAV (for both Linux and Windows), Vipre and NOD32 are among the programs I have experience with. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, or MBAM for short, has definitely been one of the best. I love AVG Free and always recommend it for anyone looking for a free anti-malware program for basic personal use, however I will recommend MBAM for anyone who is willing to pay for it. Compared to AVG Free, this version of MBAM has better features. The virus definitions update constantly, which is good as virus definitions are what "tells" the program exactly where to scan and what to look for when scanning for malware. They updates sometimes as much as three times a day, the scanning options are more varied, detailed, and precise and the scanning is very thorough. I got this version of MBAM on sale for $20 each, a very good deal for something that is going to last me a very long time, I'm happy with this purchase.

Cons: While this version of MBAM is a "lifetime" edition, the operating system that I or anyone reading this uses is not, especially if it's from Microsoft. I believe this will last me for a lot of years, eventually though I may have purchase something else. No big deal. Another "con" of mine was Windows 8, MBAM seemed to love Windows 7, no problems at all. It did not like Windows 8 and it hated 8.1 even more, re-installing it using compatibility mode worked for me. If anyone needs to re-install MBAM, make sure to download their clean-up utility and run it before trying to re-install.

PQI Power Bank i-Power 7800

PQI White 7600 mAh Power Bank i-Power 7800
PQI White 7600 mAh Power Bank i-Power 7800

Pros: I saw this power bank on sale, I couldn't resist. Even for its regular price, this power bank is outstanding. For a power bank with a rating of 7800 mAh, this guy is relatively compact. It's not heavy or too bulky, I often carry mine in my pocket during work and barely notice it. It charges my Samsung Galaxy Note III extremely fast, it has a 3600 mAh battery. This power bank seems built pretty rugged, I can feel a strong case that could probably withstand a few drops even from somewhat high altitudes. The Blue LED is nice, press it and it will tell you how much charge you got left, it goes by quarters.

Cons: When I wear tighter-than-usually clothing, the rectangular shape of this guy can sometimes bother me. A rectangular shape would have been much more comfortable, I don't wear "skinny jeans" often though, let alone at work.
