SWTOR Headset

Star Wars: The Old Republic Gaming Headset by Razer
Star Wars: The Old Republic Gaming Headset by Razer

Pros: Cool Headset... Cool Lights... Thats about it... First product I have bought from Razer, probably never buying again since the poor build quality.... Hasn't broken yet...

Cons: Lights are always on; You can turn them off but they reset once you restart your computer. Made up of Hard Plastic, creeks and reeks... Unimpressed by the quality on how the drivers (speakers) are soldered on; Once they reach a specific time wear they will disconnect; but I can fix that. (You probably know this) The Dolby 7.1 is virtual not actually 7.1 system... If you turn it on the balance of sound leans towards the left. No matter how I tune it the virtual 7.1 is bugged. Lights get annoying after awhile because they heat up the headset and causes discomfort while decreasing the longevity.

Overall Review: Probably never buying from Razer again.. The box it came in has better build quality and more thought put into it...

MSI HD-7950 Boost

MSI Radeon HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card R7950-3GD5/OC BE
MSI Radeon HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card R7950-3GD5/OC BE

Pros: Awesome Card, the most powerful I have ever owned... Bought it at $180 before BitCoin/ LiteCoin/ Virtual currency got popular... Worth $400+ right now... On stock cooling this card will hit 84c @ 60% (Regular game usage)... No joke... At that temp it is loud, hot, and destructive... So I took off the black shroud. Temps improved because the exhaust was no longer trapped; but still it was still loud, hot, and destructive... After looking around I bought a Artic Accelero 7970 cooler for it an man this card sings... Temps never over 40c @ 60%

Cons: Stock cooling is horrid.... Not MSI's fault or Newegg's fault; Just poor reference design... Sapphire, XFX, and MSI all use this card... Just with different stickers... Do not be deceived.

Overall Review: Five stars for performance and card.... Minus 1 egg for poor cooler design... Love this card since I upgraded from a HD7770... The power difference is massive and noticable... BTW REMEMBER to check your wattage; this card blew up two 500w PSUs until I got a 850w for it... On stock settings...

Great Budget Card

MSI Radeon HD 7770 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 Video Card R7770-PMD1GD5
MSI Radeon HD 7770 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 Video Card R7770-PMD1GD5

Pros: Awesome Card, Came with Far Cry 3. Extremely Cold card for performance level (32c idle/ 55 full load). Upgraded from a HD 5670 and this thing is ~250% faster. If you tune Planetside 2 correctly you can get 70-100fps High-Ultra settings. Install was flawless, no problems whatsoever. Just bolt in, install AMD drivers (NOT MSI) and go. Personal preference always install AMD drivers not reference manufacture specific and you'll be problem free. Bought card on Black Friday 2012 ($99.99 -$30 rebate = $69.99) + Never Settle (-$60) = WINNNNN

Cons: Although an amazing card, this is my second one (not crossfire). The original one i got burned out because the heat sink was not bolted on properly. MSI has an amazing RMA service other than the fact you have to pay to ship to them. My fault for not inspecting the card fully before installing but honestly though the card should of been 100% assembled ready and fail-proof when it was first packaged at a MSI factory. No crossfire but you already know that ;)

Overall Review: Loved AMD never settle for less bundle, came with Far Cry 3. I cannot tell you how cool this card runs. (30c idle/ 45c full load) after I replaced the thermal paste. Just bought a HD 7950 as my next upgrade. Can't wait for another ~250% performance gain.
