Nice Cooler
Pros: Super easy installation for Socket 775 10 degree F improvement over stock Intel E8500 cooler Looks great Economical
Cons: The fan is not entirely silent.
Overall Review: For my purposes the little Zalman is more than adequate. The price is right and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. It's a little noisy but not so much that it's a big detractor. Installation was quick and easy on an Asus Socket 775 motherboard with an Intel Core2 Duo E8500. Suitable for use as a replacement cooler on a stock clocked machine, probably not so much if overclocked.
Pros: This is an excellent case for limited space installations and looks very nice. Airflow is adequate to keep the internal components reasonably cool and happy in stock-clocked applications. It accomodates a full sized ATX power supply.
Cons: Packaging could be better for this case. Of the two I've ordered, both arrived damaged with no visible external evidence of mishandling by UPS.
Overall Review: I spent over three hours disassembling and straightening the bent and distorted framework and mountings on this case to get it back to the point that the fits are restored and the damage is not noticable. I elected to repair rather than return it since there is no reason to believe that a replacement case would arrive in better condition.
Less Than Reliable
Pros: None
Cons: I ordered this RAM in early December 2017 and used it in a system build in mid January, well past Newegg's 30 day return policy. It failed after less than two weeks in a standard clocked system, no boot, no video, no BIOS beep codes. That turns troubleshooting into a known good, time consuming, nightmare guessing game. To say I am unhappy with this RAM is putting it mildly from the perspective of inconvenience, lost time and added expense. As a system builder of many years this isn't my first rodeo but it will certainly be my last experience with Geil RAM. After reading multiple reviews of less than satisfactory experiences with this product and difficulties dealing with Geil USA Customer Service I am debating on whether or not to try to RMA it or trash can it as a total loss.
Overall Review: I lost my shirt on this build because of this RAM. What am I supposed to tell the person I built this system for? There's only one answer for that question. I'll eat the loss to try to salvage my reputation as a quality system builder.
Good Value
Pros: Well made, nice finish.
Cons: None
Overall Review: The first set arrived with shipping damage. Newegg customer service took care of it, shipped the replacement set via a different carrier.
Uneventful Installation
Pros: Easy assembly and setup , no nasty surprises. Silky smooth general purpose operation with A10 5800K APU, GSkill RAM and 64 bit Win7 Pro.
Cons: None
Overall Review: This combo is not among the quickest nor well suited for serious gaming. but quite likely overkill for most workstation applications. I would definitely buy it again...
Pros: Looks brand new, very clean. Ran Western Digital DLG Diagnostics, no errors. Wrote zeros to the drive and formatted it for use as a backup drive in an older computer, works great.
Cons: None for the price
Overall Review: I wish I'd bought a couple more of these when they were $15.99 with free shipping.
