G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3L 1600 (PC3L 12800) Laptop Memory Model F3-1600C9S-4GRSL

Pros: Works great at speed faster than advertised! Also spreads heat better than stock RAM (important in ultrabook)

Cons: None

2.4Ghz died, Netgear not honoring warranty

NETGEAR WNDR3700-100NAS V.5 Wireless Gigabit Open Source Router/ USB port Rangemax 2.4/5 GHz Simultaneous N600 Dual Band IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n, IEEE 802.3/3u/3ab
NETGEAR WNDR3700-100NAS V.5 Wireless Gigabit Open Source Router/ USB port Rangemax 2.4/5 GHz Simultaneous N600 Dual Band IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n, IEEE 802.3/3u/3ab

Pros: It worked well for 5 months

Cons: WORST customer service I have ever encountered. After working fine for 5 months with stable connections at 70+% suddenly the 2.4Ghz channel drops to 20%, I can be near it and people's wireless across the street is stronger and I drop connection all the time. I called customer service because its still under the 1 yr warranty. After over 2 hrs of run around they "escalated" me to someone who said "I am an advanced engineer and I can tell you it is not a hardware issue". Not a hardware issue when any device even at 1 ft away barely connects? And they wouldn't even troubleshoot other than a factory reset which did not help in any way. Then they even asked for my credit card so that they could "troubleshoot my configuration issue". I've configured 100s of routers, I know what I am doing. Worst customer service ever and product fails. Do your research, many others on the netgear forums with exact same issue.

Overall Review: Do NOT believe the 1 yr warranty.

Works good only with netgear router

NETGEAR WN2000RPT-100NAS Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender
NETGEAR WN2000RPT-100NAS Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender

Pros: Worked fine with WNDR3700v1 (until WNDR3700v1 broke)

Cons: - When connecting to my non-netgear router in the setup it says the connection strength is 85%, yet then when complete with setup it has a red light and complains that the signal strength is poor. Connecting to the netgear router (until the netgear broke) the signal strength was 70% in setup and it stayed green with good connection. - Has trouble connecting to other devices such as printers, NAS, etc that are connected to network (and not to the extender). Sometimes you can connect sometimes not.
