Works Great
Pros: It is fast, way faster than USB 2.0 Nice looking case design. Use it on a Qosimo x505-Q896 with Win7. Backing up to this drive compared to my USB 2.0 drive is a breeze, what used to take hours and hours is now down to one hour.
Cons: The connections to where the Usb 3.0 cable plug in are very flimsy, seems like it will break in no time with normal everyday use. I can see if you knock the drive over on accident it will break the connectors. A better design for where the cables plug in would have been a slide door so that the plugs are inside the housing and not outside where they can be easily damaged.
Disconnects
Pros: Everything was very easy to setup the gigabit ports worked well setting up the seperate 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz radio was a nice touch just a couple of slight problems...see cons.
Cons: The 5 ghz range didn't go very far at all at least it didnt in my house, 2 story home and it would just have enough signal strength to get to most of the first floor and that was as far as it would reach the router was on the 2nd floor. The other problem was the deal breaker and that was the router wouldn't maintain a connection to the internet I would have to shut off then power up the router to get it to work again.
Overall Review: If they would fix the disconnects to the internet it would have been a nice router.
Junk
Pros: None
Cons: This was the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought, the software that came with this if that is what you want to call it was the most horrible designed software I have ever seen. After finally getting the software to work at least I think it was working I heard this clunking from the drive and then it was over drive went bad
Terrible
Pros: None
Cons: Won't work tried it with Win7 and then XP it worked one time for about a minute then died, it say no signal found went and bought a new vcr same problem. Tried it on 3 different machines
Overall Review: Would have returner it to Newegg but just now had the time to transfer all my tapes. Will have to buy something else.
Fast
Pros: The Drive is fast, quiet, runs cool.
Cons: None
Overall Review: The drive has worked flawlessly since I have owned it.
Broken
Pros: Fast. They use a WD Black drive
Cons: The Usb 3.0 connector broke after just a month, I needed to tear the enclosure apart to get the drive out to get my info. This My Book just sits on the desk the connector shouldn't have broke.
Overall Review: They need to redesign the Usb connector. The drive was salvageable.
