Gigabyte GA-G41MT-S2PT
Pros: Good MB so far. To early to tell how it will perform long term. Needed a LGA 775 board for my Intel core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83 GHz chip. This board fit the bill. Running smoothly now, with 8 GB 2x4gb Dual channel PNY DDR3 PC3-10666 1333/1066 Mhz memory (MD8192KD3-1333).
Cons: Memory install was an issue at first. I purchased some G. Skill Aegis DDR3-1333 PC3-10600/10666 (F3-1333C9D-8GIS) based on another review on this board. Motherboard would not post. Not sure if the memory was exactly the same since it was an older review. New memory is listed as Gaming Memory. Part number was the same though.
Overall Review: Memory types can be a problem for this board, as other reviews have mentioned. What works for one person, may not for another.
Memory Upgrade for Lenovo T430s Notebook.
Pros: Memory arrived as promised. It was an easy install in notebook. Memory checked out on testing. Have only been running now a few days, but seems satisfactory. Haven't noted any speed increase, but needed it for programs. So far so good.
Cons: None so far.
Retraction of earlier comment.
Pros: Good board so far. Lots of features. Running Intel core 2 Quad Q9550 chip. Had bad memory modular plugged in, which gave a failure to post. Changed memory and all is well. I'll see how this board does long term.
Cons: None so far. Just make sure any older parts you use are good.
Overall Review: That bad memory chip drove me crazy, since I thought all were good. I was going to return, but will now keep board.
Pros: Very quite, fast and reliable.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Having owned six drives in varies computers some over a year. No problems.
