Can I use a Pentium Dual Core 2.0 GHz processor in this motherboard?

You need to be more specific then "Pentium" Dual Core. This board will handle Pentium 4 Processors that are built for Socket LGA 775. It was built for Core 2, Core 2 duo, Core 2 Extreme, Core 2 Quad Chips and can handle some quad cores. I am currently running a Core 2 duo E7600 @ 3.06 ghz. Intel has compatibility charts for certain chip-sets you can look up on their website, search for "DG41WV" which is the OEM version of this board.

Is this windows 7 64 bit compatible?

It functions flawlessly using Windows 8.1 Pro (64 bit) then after down loading all of the updates I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro (64 bit) and again it works flawlessly. I jumped from Windows Vista to Windows 8.1 then 10. Windows 10 is more like Vista than 8.1, I think it is more intuitive and a nice move by Windows, can't beat the free upgrade to 10 either.

will the G.SKILL Value Series 8GB F3-10600CL9D-8GBNT work with the GIGABYTE GA-G41MT-S2PT motherboard, it is double sided or dual ranked memory like other reviews say that do work on it?

Does this motherboard have AHCI support?

No, IDE only.  It also is VERY particular about what memory will work when you use more than 2GB per slot.

What brand of RAM (4GB Sticks) will work with this board? I found out the hard way that Kingston 4GB sticks don't work. Is there any brand other than Samsung, AMD and Apacer that works?

8GB, but you can only use certain 4GB Sticks, none of which are in production any longer. I found some on a website that wanted over $100.00 each stick. Not worth it. Buy and ASUS board with a 1150 socket and upgrade to an i7. Best decision I ever made.

I'm unable to load Windows 7. It boots fine, considering it won't let my QX6850 run at 3.66GHz. I get the  "everything's fine" single beep. When I boot from HDD, the Windows logo appears, freezes, the monitor blue screens, then the MoBo reboots. When it's ready to load Win 7 again it shows error recovery screen with timed out option.

The keyboard is dead at this point so I can't choose from 1- startup recovery or 2- start windows like normal. After startup repair finishes, it says no problems were found. Even with my back up USB plugged in and I use system restore and then reboot. the blue screen happens again and everything repeats. I saw something briefly before rebooting from repair mode  about a bad driver. I can't get into the OS to fix that though. Any suggestions?

I went to Gigabyte's webpage and looked at the support information for that model motherboard.  I don't see a QX6850 listed in the supported processors for that model.  The closest thing I see is an X6800.  You might need to find a processor that appears on that list and try again.  I've had good luck with a Q9595 and also with a Q8300.

is it possible to hook up a usb3.0 cable to this board?

Yes, if you install a usb3 adapter card.  There are only two sockets on the board.  I needed 3 (video card, usb3 adapter card, and creative sound card), so I did not use the motherboard.  It should work for you if you get your sound with other options on the motherboard.

I need to replace my out of production GA-EG41M-S2H. Will there be any software compatibility issues with newer mobo?

The motherboard works with windows XP, 7, 8.1 and 10.  I have also used LINUX with this motherboard. 
Software compatibility should be the same, but it is impossible to tell until you try ALL YOUR SOFTWARE PROGRAMS...

Memory is different, I believe your current motherboard the GA-EG41M-S2H uses DDR2 memory, the Gigabyte GA-G41MT-S2PT LGA 775 Motherboard uses DDR3 memory.  
If that is a problem Newegg also sells the ASRock G41C-GS R2.0 LGA 775 Intel G41 + ICH7 Intel this motherboard uses either DDR2 or DDR3 memory. Hope this helps.
