Customer service and quality take a nosedive!
Pros: Not a gamer or overclocker so really don't stress my memory, but seemed to have worked, for the period they worked. Neat holographic sticker.
Cons: First set was DOA. OK, stuff happens - bad batch. Newegg comes through, as usual, and am back in business within a week! 2 months later start getting random, then frequent BSODs. Think it's motherboard, but run memtest86 and to my surprise - both memory sticks are bad! Not happy, but GSkill will replace - WRONG! Initiated RMA on 10/30, followed up with emails on 11/6, 11/8, and 11/13 - absolutely no response. My last email warned that I would make this public on 11/16 if I didn't receive a response - they don't seem to care. TLDR; Product is unreliable and RMA process is broken, making warranty worthless.
Overall Review: Monster Comp Guru on 08/12/2013 dinged GSkill for their poor RMA process. GSkill responded: 'We can slow it down to add all kinds of "special" features, but our goal is not to make the RMA system cool, it's for you to get good working RAM in your system as soon as possible.' GSkill - this is not about being "special" or 'cool' it's about being able to service your customers properly. Even if you provided me an RMA number today, it would be at least another week till I received my memory. That's THREE weeks of down-time! Implementing Monster Comp. Guru's suggestion would have cut that to three days. You can talk up your product, but this customer knows the emperor has no clothes. When will you make good on your warranty to me? Until GSkill does something about their broken RMA process, think about the possibility of being down for 3+ weeks next time you consider a memory purchase with them; I know I will.
