QNAP TS-212-E Diskless System Network Storage

5 out of 5 eggs Fantastic 11/20/2014

This review is from: QNAP TS-212-E Diskless System Network Storage

Pros: -Remote access from anywhere
-anything you need

Cons: playback of video doesn't scale based on connection speed like netflix

Other Thoughts: this thing is great and extremely powerful. i can;'t believe how fast it is to upload files. i have 2 3TB drives connected to the USB3.0 ports on the back and they are FAST. i have mobile access to this this at all times and can play my videos from ANYWHERE. i did not think i was getting something this powerful for such a low price.

1 out of 5 eggs warranty ends - unit dies 07/30/2014

This review is from: Seagate Expansion 3TB USB 3.0 3.5" Desktop External Hard Drive

Pros: Worked great for over a year

Cons: one month after the manufacturer's warranty ended the unit completely died. computer won't recognize it, blue LED won't even come on. what good is a hard drive if you have to worry about this?

ZALMAN CNPS2X 80mm Long Life Bearing CPU Cooler
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: -looks neat
-really quiet, even at full speed

Cons: -can not dissipate heat from a moderately powerful CPU. I used this with an AMD A10 APU and in an open case the steady temperature was 70 degrees C while sitting in BIOS. I would hate to see what it would be if i actually did something.
-putting the back bracket on is a little bit of a pain but if you are not a complete idiot you should be able to follow the directions without much issue. the double sided tape is there to keep it in place but it becomes a permanent fixture of the motherboard even if you decide not to use it. my motherboard now has foamy tape on it forever which i am not thrilled about.

Other Thoughts: zalman can't be entirely to blame for my review. newegg does not indicate what zalman puts on their website and that is that this cooler MUST also have a 120mm fan to go with it (i am assuming case fan, it does not specify). if newegg would post this i would not have bought it and not have written this poor review
