This review is from: ZALMAN CNPS2X 80mm Long Life Bearing CPU Cooler
Pros: -looks neat
-really quiet, even at full speed
Cons: -can not dissipate heat from a moderately powerful CPU. I used this with an AMD A10 APU and in an open case the steady temperature was 70 degrees C while sitting in BIOS. I would hate to see what it would be if i actually did something.
-putting the back bracket on is a little bit of a pain but if you are not a complete idiot you should be able to follow the directions without much issue. the double sided tape is there to keep it in place but it becomes a permanent fixture of the motherboard even if you decide not to use it. my motherboard now has foamy tape on it forever which i am not thrilled about.
Other Thoughts: zalman can't be entirely to blame for my review. newegg does not indicate what zalman puts on their website and that is that this cooler MUST also have a 120mm fan to go with it (i am assuming case fan, it does not specify). if newegg would post this i would not have bought it and not have written this poor reviewREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: APEX MI-008 Black Steel Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case 250W Power Supply
Cons: one major SUPER DUPER flaw is that (as many of the other reviewers state) the power supply is RIGHT OVER THE CPU! I tried to put in an AMD A10 APU and i could absolutely not fit the stock cooler in it. Do not be fooled by what anyone else posts you cannot do it and have the case properly come together. this also has the extra fun of the CPU temp being extremely high. even with a low profile fan i could not get this thing to a stable temp under 70 when (only) sitting in the BIOS so i cannot imagine playing videos or light games on it. i plan on returning it.
Other Thoughts: they made this thing so small that it is a genuine pain to install anything. if you are insane enough to buy this thing you should ONLY buy it for a really low end CPU that won't generate a lot of heat and has a fairly short heatsink/fan. i understand wanting to build a really small CPU but this is not worth the hassle.READ FULL REVIEW
