Really Good
Pros: I bought this because I have a pair of Bose noise-cancelling headphones and the built-in jacks on my motherboard had constant buzzing from electronic interference. I haven't used this for surround sound at all, but with the headphones it works great! No electric interference, and I can totally pick out bits of songs I never heard before--and this is coming from somebody who's basically tone deaf!
Cons: Keep in mind this is PCI (NOT PCI Express) and motherboards are slowing phasing PCI out. PCI-E would probably be total overkill for a sound card, but remember to check your specs.
Pros: Easy installation, USB and SD/SDHC card reader worked right out of the box! Slides into a 3.5" bay and plugs into a USB plug on your motherboard.
Cons: This product works, but it's inexpensively made and comes in a box with no instructions, not even a sheet of a paper. * Red light on the front is always on when the computer is. * SD cards actually go in upside down and stick partway out. * Appears (in Vista64 at least) as four separate drives and a "safely remove hardware" icon in the tray.
Overall Review: It's easy to miss that this goes into a 3.5" bay and not a 5.25".
Great Stand
Pros: This stand is excellent quality and comes with the parts to attach to any standard VESA monitor. Assembly was straightforward and my three monitors are held great.
Cons: You CAN NOT use this stand with two monitors; it's weighted for monitors of equal size on each arm. You also need a friend or a long table to assemble it, since it will tip over while you're in the process of putting the monitors on the mount.
Overall Review: I decided to go with three monitors on a whim and after setting things up, I'm not embarrassed to have people over to my house. If you're not landing planes or purchasing for a business, ask yourself: do I REALLY need three monitors?
Good, but Take Note...
Pros: Same high Lian Li build quality I've come to expect. No sharp edges, lots of parts included, excellent thumbscrews and solid build.
Cons: The build quality is great, but I think this case was designed by a mad scientist. The power supply sits at the front bottom of the case with a cord that reaches around, so hot air blows up onto your video cards. The airflow is also reversed, with the case trying to suck in air through the side grilles on the front. With the stock cooler my CPU reached 88 degrees after 5 minutes of torture testing (100 degrees is where the motherboard shuts off to protect itself.) I bought Lian Li part T-LM14B-2, a replacement for the top of this case that puts a 140mm fan on top, and my temps dropped 20 degrees. By itself, this is NOT a performance case.
Overall Review: My last computer had a Lian Li mid-tower case that I really liked, so I got this one as a slightly smaller alternative. Don't make my mistake--Lian Li's build quality is top-notch, but the ventilation and heat build-up in this case are awful.
Good Quality, Good Picture
Pros: Very good quality. I bought three of these simultaneously and everyone arrives working perfectly, with no dead pixels. 1920x1080 resolution is great, and they monitors even come with DVI cables!
Cons: I didn't buy these for the speakers--didn't even realize they had them--and you shouldn't either. I'm tone deaf and even I can tell how bad they are. Music sounds like somebody shouting into a tin can in a closet.
Keep Some Things In Mind
Pros: This just works. I plugged it into a PCI slot, flipped on my computer and Windows 7 recognized it and installed the drivers without any effort on my part. My wireless keyboard receiver and mouse both work great plugged into it.
Cons: While this card does work, keep some things in mind: * The card requires a free 4-pin Molex power plug and is not fully powered by the PCI slot. * The "internal" USB and 1394 (FireWire) ports are NOT 9-pin internal ports but actual external USB and 1394 ports located on the inside of the card. * The external ports are a very tight fit; be careful ordering if the slots on the back of your computer are oddly shaped or particularly thin. Probably all of the above could have been discovered if I'd looked more closely at the pictures, but keep these things in mind so you don't make the mistakes I did.
