The real thing

Magic Wand HV260 Personal Massager
Magic Wand HV260 Personal Massager

Pros: I received an authentic Magic Wand, not a knock-off. VERY strong vibrations. Slightly soft head, so it's a little forgiving. A quick search finds many add-on accessories to make this more fun. I just got it today, but seems to be very solid and well made.

Cons: These really are relatively minor, especially since I knew about them before the purchase. However, this still isn't perfect. (1) There are only 3 settings: off, low, and high. More settings or a variable speed dial would be nice. The dial really would be an easy addition. (2) This is NOT a silent vibrator! If there are others near where you are using this and you don't want them to know, be sure to turn up the volume on the TV or radio.

Overall Review: This seems like it will be LOTS of fun! Can't wait to try it with my girlfriend. I thought about uploading a video review...but...figured that might not be a good idea.

Decent deal for the money.

Seiki 40" 1080p 60Hz LED TV - SE40FY27
Seiki 40" 1080p 60Hz LED TV - SE40FY27

Pros: Got this on sale. Hard to complain about a 40" 'class' TV for under 280. Hard, but not impossible. Decent picture. Not as good as my name brand TV in the living room, but was also half the price. Very strong built in tuner. Gets several stations my old TV would not pick up without any change to the antenna (yes, I'm using an antenna, not cable or satellite). During bad days certain channels will drop in and out, but this TV holds them better than the TVs in my living room. Lightweight. I easily set the TV 5 ft high on top of a dresser in my bedroom with no assistance. It's only about 20 pounds and very manageable. I still have nightmares of throwing away my old 32" CRT TV a few years ago. I almost killed myself trying to move that heavy beast! Plenty of inputs & outputs. Several HDMI, standard video, VGA for computers that is supposed to be able to use the full 1920x1080 resolution (haven't tested yet), digital audio output, and headphone outputs. VERY useful and versatile.

Cons: STUCK PIXEL! 29 days after purchase, developed a stuck blue pixel just a few inches up and left of center. Very noticeable in dark scenes. Unfortunately NewEgg must *receive* the TV within 30 days of purchase for a return or replacement per their policy. Now I'm stuck with a defective TV unless I go through the manufacturers replacement process. I'll investigate, but it probably won't be worth the cost and effort. Same menu system as the infuriating TV it's replacing. This menu & firmware is barely usable. Slow to respond at times. Very bad audio. Anyone who claims this TV sounds good has VERY low standards and would probably think a 10 year old laptop or first generation tablet has good audio! The good news is, the TV has digital out for hooking up to a sound system (if you have one available), but also headphone output. This makes it incredibly easy to set up a pair of computer speakers. I've got an old pair hooked up now and the sound is infinitely improved. I'm planning on setting up a good set of 2.1 speakers when I get the chance for even better sound. NO ASPECT SETTING FOR EXACT 1920X1080 aka "Native"!! All of the settings include some sort of over-scan. I personally find it a bit annoying when lose some of the picture to a useless over-scan. It will also cause trouble when hooking my computer up through HDMI. I won't get the exact 1920x1080 output! The aspect settings are: "Standard, Wide, Wide Zoom, Zoom". My 5 year old Toshiba has 7 aspect settings, including "Native".

Overall Review: If it wasn't for the STUCK PIXEL, this would be a 4 egg TV, maybe higher if you consider the value. With the STUCK PIXEL, it's hard to give a 2 egg review. The value kept the review at 2, but I did think about it.

Works well enough

Thunderstorm Bluetooth Body Fat Digital Scale bathroom weight, body water, fat ratio, bone mass, BMI, BMR, visceral fat index, muscle weight and protein rate
Thunderstorm Bluetooth Body Fat Digital Scale bathroom weight, body water, fat ratio, bone mass, BMI, BMR, visceral fat index, muscle weight and protein rate

Pros: Seems to be accurate and consistent regarding weight. When purchased on sale, it was remarkably inexpensive. The app has plenty of measurements (see cons), and the tracking ability is helpful.

Cons: I don't know about the accuracy of the measurements other than weight. Before I can trust them I'd have to have them measured and confirmed by a professional. For example, I drink 2-4 gallons of water every day, but every single measurement shows "body water" as "insufficient". The app didn't work immediately after installing. Judging from the other reviews, trouble with the app is common.

Overall Review: When I first installed the app, I couldn't get it to connect with the scale. After several attempts, I rebooted my phone and tried again. This time it worked fine. It connected immediately. Unfortunately the app must be running to record the measurements. You must touch "yes" to record the new measurements. I would prefer the measurements were saved automatically whenever the phone was nearby. It's a minor annoyance having to bring my phone to the scale when I want it saved. For the normal price, I wouldn't touch this. The the price I paid, a sawbuck, there's no reason not to buy this.

It's a cable

Coboc CL-U2-AMicBMM-10-BK 10ft High Speed USB 2.0 A Male to Micro B 5pin Male Cable w/ ferrite Core,Gold Plated,Black
Coboc CL-U2-AMicBMM-10-BK 10ft High Speed USB 2.0 A Male to Micro B 5pin Male Cable w/ ferrite Core,Gold Plated,Black

Pros: It's 10 ft long. I really hate being tethered to something with a short cable, always worrying about moving the wrong way and yanking the cord out. I don't have that problem with this cable.

Cons: None other than the price dropping slightly since I bought it. Haven't had any problems at all. It's used almost every day.

Overall Review: What can be said? It's a cable, it's long, and it does it's job. I was worried it might not charge as quickly as a short cable (loss of power over the extra length), but I haven't noticed anything. I haven't scientifically measured it, but if there's any loss it's minor.

Might be worth 5 bucks. Maybe.

Rosewill RCGP-11001 - Universal Dashboard & Window Mount for Cell Phones, iPhones, GPS, MP3 Players - Black
Rosewill RCGP-11001 - Universal Dashboard & Window Mount for Cell Phones, iPhones, GPS, MP3 Players - Black

Pros: -Fits many phones and devices -Relatively inexpensive -Option of friction pad for dash or suction for window -Friction pad has worked perfectly so far; not a single slip

Cons: -EXTREMELY cheaply made -Suction cup can't be trusted -Price fluctuates drastically (I purchased it on 'sale', and the price was cut in half within a month) -The device 'grip' breaks/slips VERY easily

Overall Review: With all the bad reviews, I was sure to use this item with 'kid gloves' and be even more careful than I usually am. (For reference, I don't break things. I still have toys/electronics/things that have been used for nearly 30 years.) The grip on this contraption started slipping almost immediately. The top grip would push in, and the bottom grip would slide down instead of up. Fail. Also, the suction cup was badly deformed right out of the box. It took melting it on my dash in the Texas summer heat before it would work at all. The friction pad has worked better than my I could have ever imagined. Of course, it could be that in the summer heat has actually melted it to my dash. I've been too scared to move it. If it hasn't been melted, I'm afraid that if I move the pad it will lose it's miraculous grip. With the extremely high problem/failure rate of this device, I couldn't recommend a purchase unless the price was 5 bucks or less.

Amped Wireless R10000G High Power Wireless-N 600mW Gigabit Router
Amped Wireless R10000G High Power Wireless-N 600mW Gigabit Router

Pros: None yet

Cons: None yet

Overall Review: The manufacturer claims a 10,000 square foot coverage. These routers use omnidirectional antennas so coverage should be in a circle. As we should all know from school, the area of a circle is Pi times the radius squared. A=Pi*r^2 With an area (or coverage) of 10,000 sq. ft, the radius works out to a little over 56 ft. That means this router only projects signal 56 ft out. Does a 56 foot range sound long distance? I do not yet own this router. I was considering it for its high power claims and gigabit ports.
