Pros: For some reason, these cables are actually hard to find in stores. Unless you want to shell out $20+, or just need a male-female extension cable, this cable here is one of your best bets. It works fine, provides the same picture quality as my other cables on my monitors, and the screws are easy enough to twist on and off.
Cons: While this was the cheapest I could find anywhere (besides second hand, or non reputable stores), I still find it to be quite expensive when you factor in shipping, for a simple cable.
Overall Review: I would like to see Newegg give more of a price break on shipping. When my order already has $80 in shipping and handling charges, give me a deal when all you do is grab something off a shelf and throw it into a box that already contains peanuts and the other stuff I've bought.
Get the job done... loudly
Pros: Nice to have both 3 and 4 pin connectors. Moves plenty of air, keeps cases cool. Relatively cheap. I mass order these and use them in every mATX case.
Cons: Extremely loud. Screws are very short. This works fine for placing them on the back of a case, but when placing one on the front of the case where you can't easily remove the entire front panel for one fan, you have to buy some different screws. Because of the odd screw shape, you will find them difficult to find.
Pros: It's a cable... it works!
Cons: Amazingly, I ran low on these.
Good drive
Pros: I used to get the Lite-On drives, simply for the cost. This comes in at around the same price, but is a lot quieter. I also like the feel of the eject button a lot better on this than most other drives.
Cons: None.
Nice case, only minor issues
Pros: I like the overall look of the case. It's not a monstrous tower, has a nice paint job, and tasteful LED's that are easy to cover up if they aren't wanted. Ventilation seems adequate, although I'm hardly running with anything where that *should* be a problem.
Cons: Optical drive's have covers on them. I didn't have any issues aligning with the eject button as others have mentioned (using an Asus DVD burner; N82E16827135204), but I have noticed the only way to close the drive is to physically push in the tray. After years of being told to not do that, it now worries me that I have to do that, or reach underneath the cover to reach the eject button. These optical drive covers also make it impossible to use 5.25 storage drawers. Not a deal breaker, but they are always so convenient for driver disks! I'm also not a big fan of the "tool less" design. I don't find a screwdriver that difficult to use, and still had to with this case anyways. The optical drive sitting in the top bay felt very loose. I moved it to the bottom, which helped, but it still isn't as snug as I would like.
Overall Review: Even with it's quirks, I would still recommend this case for most uses.
Decent card reader
Pros: As of now, it seems to work just fine (although I only use the SD card and USB port). It seems hard to find a lower end card reader that gets the job done without aggravation, but this might just be the new one for me.
Cons: Feels as if it's cheaply made. The SD card goes in upside down, which is far from the first natural inclination when using a card reader.
Overall Review: I was hesitant at first because I didn't want to mess with any driver issues. Out of the box, it wouldn't work with Windows 7. But a simple search, and a quick download later, and the driver provided from Rosewill's site had it working in no time.
