Logitech Z506 75 watts 5.1 Surround Sound Speakers
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Quite impressive sound for such a small system. It accepts both the standard 5.1(green, orange, black) and composite, which is pretty rare on these types of systems. The subwoofer is small, but don't let that fool you; it has very deep bass for such a small woofer.

Cons: The speakers/satellites do not have any bass to them at all. This means all bass must come from the sub which means the audio will not sound equal.

Other Thoughts: I bought this system to replace a more expensive Logitech set that is rated at 230 watts (or somewhere around there). It had a bad remote and rendered the whole set useless. I purchased this knowing this is much smaller system, yet it is very impressive.

For only $55, this set it perfect, although I'm not sure I would buy the "new" version which is $89.99.

NETGEAR WNDR3400 N600 Wireless Router Simultaneous Dual Band IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n 2.4/5GHz 10/100 Mbps Ethernet Port x4
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Pretty nice router for the proce! Was able to get it for only 25.99 with a special promo code. This version supports DD-WRT which is a big plus for me! I have used DD-WRT on every router I have used and it works perfectly on this router!

Cons: It does not have gigabit ethernet ports. Not only is it a letdown to ethernet users but there is no point in having wireless N over 150mbps since the ports are limited to 100mbps. It is 5GHz which can reach up to 300mbps on this router, but once again, it is limited to the 100mbps ethernet ports so it is pointless.

Other Thoughts: This is a decent router. I bought it to use as a second access point around the house. It works great for that unless you want speed. (read cons). The only advantage of the 5GHz band is less interference with other routers or devices. No speed gain on this router! :(
