This review is from: BYTECC HMSP102 1 x 2 HDMI Splitter
Pros: Split one port into two, that's it.
Cons: Did not ever get past 480p out of my DirecTV, unplug and connect directly to TV and get 1080p. Started giving me trouble earlier this week and now all audio is choppy. Thought it was my DirecTV, but once again, works fine connected directly to my TV. On a side note: the ports were always flimsy. Got less than 8 months use out of it before it failed!
Other Thoughts: Bought from Newegg on e*B*a*y so it will not show "Verified Owner". But I surely bought this junk thinking that it was going to work just fine due to its rating here on Newegg. Guess I'll have fun dealing with the tech support/RMA department of this unheard of brand.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Great stick, does what it's supposed to.
Cons: None that I can think of
Other Thoughts: Price could be lower.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Logitech Z506 75 watts 5.1 Surround Sound Speakers
Pros: Quite impressive sound for such a small system. It accepts both the standard 5.1(green, orange, black) and composite, which is pretty rare on these types of systems. The subwoofer is small, but don't let that fool you; it has very deep bass for such a small woofer.
Cons: The speakers/satellites do not have any bass to them at all. This means all bass must come from the sub which means the audio will not sound equal.
Other Thoughts: I bought this system to replace a more expensive Logitech set that is rated at 230 watts (or somewhere around there). It had a bad remote and rendered the whole set useless. I purchased this knowing this is much smaller system, yet it is very impressive.
For only $55, this set it perfect, although I'm not sure I would buy the "new" version which is $89.99.
