ZALMAN CNPS5X Performa 92mm FSB (Fluid Shield Bearing) Powerful Cooling Performance CPU Cooler
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Used this on a new HTPC build and its so freakin quiet I thought the mobo was DOA. so far temps on idle with cool n quiet r 9c and under 25c on load but have not overclocked yet so we will see how it holds up. i dont really expect much from the 92mm fanbut this was for a plasma tv surround setup so noise reduction is key. this paired with ssd and nzxt gamma = zero sound, install was a breeze and who couldnt love the price.

Cons: None so far i think Zalman nailed it with this one.

Other Thoughts: Install AMD type bracket was easy yet tightening the screws was too easy, no tension at all and even though the instructions say a little at a time on each side i felt the bracket was getting way too tight. The heatsink was unmovable and yet i could still easily tighten the screws not sure if it warped the board at all but i thought i might so be CAREFUL!!! they dont have to be fully tightened as long as the heatsink isnt wiggly u should be fine

IN WIN Griffin (Yellow) Black / Yellow ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

4 out of 5 eggs Griffin yellow case 07/07/2011

This review is from: IN WIN Griffin (Yellow) Black / Yellow ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: the griffin case in yellow looks great. i like the blue led behind the on/off button and nice looking yellow and black design which is pretty much why anyone would buy it. Also there is room for expansion with a front 120mm and has a very compact design.

Cons: there is alot here, first the locking mechanisms on the drive bays are only 5 total there are 10 drive bays so obviously they weren't expecting there to be more 5 installed caus there is no way to lock them. NO cable management unless you count a couple tie downs on the side of the motherboard there is like 1/4 inch of room behind the mobo. 92mm rear fan and side 220 lower the temps only a couple degrees they are quiet but too slow to cool effectively but if your worried about cooling this case is not for you anyway.

Other Thoughts: Why the four stars? for a first time builder or modder this may be a fun case for the price they have room here for all the basics and again the case is good looking and also relatively small for someone without alot of desk space. i personally cut out the 220 and replaced with plexiglass and added a front 120mm case looks even better with side cutout.
