Most Critical Review

Installed and active but no networks detected

TRENDnet TEW-726EC N600 Wireless Dual Band Adapter IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n PCI Express 1.0
TRENDnet TEW-726EC N600 Wireless Dual Band Adapter IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n PCI Express 1.0

Pros: It does have a small form factor, and the antennas LOOK like they would work nicely, even though they don't. The install was easy enough.

Cons: Simply cannot detect any networks. Period. There are fifteen wireless signals in my list on both the other computers in this same room, yet the card which is installed and claims to be working perfectly can't see a single one. My suspicion is the antennas, either the connection with them or their functionality.

Overall Review: Note of interest: I am giving this 3 eggs because there is a chance that this is due to my system configuration. The windows version I am running was already installed on my Asus laptop, and miraculously booted when I put it in my new desktop. That means it still has a lot of hardware configs and drivers from the previous machine, and even though I went through and uninstalled all that I could find and installed all the drivers for my new hardware, there's still a chance it's a driver issue. I will update once I do a fresh install of windows.
