Just What I Wanted
Pros: I had a somewhat specific price range and set of criteria when i was looking for a ivy bridge motherboard for the past month. This one answered the call. First motherboard I've dealt with for a personal build with the new bios system. It's pretty smooth and boots fast...almost too fast. I wanted a future proof board, and this one should hold out for quite some time. Came with extra year of warranty (3yr total) Slightly smaller footprint than true ATX specs, but nothing wrong with that. Diggin the new bios system.
Cons: Maybe more options for storage control, but personally i found the learning curve for this new bios system very short and easy to pick up. When handling this during install, one of the heatsinks around the CPU came unstuck from the mosfets, but that was more than likely my fault. I got it to re-adhere just fine though.
Overall Review: Still getting this new PC fully set up, but so far I'm impressed by its real world speed increase from my previous pc, which is very noticeable. Haven't overclocked with this yet either, but it seems plenty capable. ALSO, mushkin ram isn't listed as compatable, but i too a gamble, and so far haven't had any issues with their 1.5V blackline with the frostbyte heatsinks running 16gb total (4X4).
Ok upgrade
Pros: Great deal when i got these on sale. Very clear sound, especially highs and mids. I think they're a pinch better sound wise than the polk monitor 60's they replaced.
Cons: Bass output is just so so. Don't expect these to shake the house or anything, if you use them in a home theater, I'd recommend having a sub woofer.
Overall Review: Had one speaker come with a broke foot (thanks UPS) and had to exchange it for a replacement speaker because they wouldn't just send me a new foot. Well, my replacement speaker came with a slightly less broken foot, so I'll just live with it. If i could redo this purchase, i would have just gotten another set of Polk monitor 70's.
Pros: Great price for what you get. Options galore compared to my old linksys 4 port switch. Get it, you'll be happy.
Cons: none, could be cheaper?
Overall Review: My old linksys 4 port router, befsr41 ver4.3 has been flaking out for 2 years at least, it needed to reset every so often because it would choke up and kill my internet speeds. I finally got tired of messing with it, as using any kind of bandwidth intensive software would cause it to choke up. I wanted something that could load balance and wasn't expensive. this tp link router fit the bill. hopefully it lasts as long as my old linksys, without the degradation i see the linksys has pretty low reviews now, it didn't when i purchased mine way way back. .
Was working well
Pros: Worked just fine for a little over a month, WAS a good deal
Cons: After vigorous troubleshooting, i found out that the supply was intermittently flaking out, causing hard restarts
Overall Review: Built a cheap fast PC for the grandparents, all was well for a month, then it started to randomly restart without warning. After troubleshooting everything else, i pulled a good supply from the computer I'm typing this review on ( it uses a high end seasonic supply at that) and the other computer no longer randomly has hard restarts. I put this suspect supply in my PC, and presto! hard restarts after a few minutes. I'll report back after the RMA process is resolved with Seasonic.
Works well
Pros: Cheap, works just fine. Phone connects solidly to my PC now and charges MUCH faster than the stock phone cable i was using.
Cons: Short length, but i knew that when i bought it.
Overall Review: Bought this to replace the stock cable that came with my android phone that kept connecting/disconnecting rapidly and uncontrollably to my PC and took up to 4 hours to charge my phone. For those out there who have issues connecting your phone to your PC, and nothing works, drivers, etc...it's your cable ;)
Working well
Pros: Good amount of RAM for a good price. Was worried that NO mushkin ram is listed as compatible for the asrock z77 extreme4 but, its been chugging away for a few weeks without any issues. Nothing DOA either.
Cons: Not 32gb? Can't be to picky for the price/value
Overall Review: I like that mushkin is still an "American" company for whats that's worth.
