Great product in my opinion

Hauppauge HD PVR 2 1512
Hauppauge HD PVR 2 1512

Pros: I've used this with an HDMI splitter to record from various sources, and the picture quality and audio quality is great. The software allows me to export captured video to an MP4 file which makes it easy to view using various media players, ie Roku, smartphone, tablet, pc, etc

Cons: The capture software is pretty bare bones for editing purposes. you can clip entire sections from the beginning or end of a video, but you can't remove sections in the middle, like trying to remove a commercial from a video. Software is slow to export to Mp4 files, usually taking 5 minutes on a 5GB file but that can be expected when working with large video files.

Overall Review: I'd highly recommend it if you need to record an HDMI source. Only word of caution, if the video source has copy protection this device will not allow it to record. You will need to research specific after market HDMI splitters that remove the copy protection data, this applies to Playstation4 and a wide range of consumer playback devices.

Horrible, just Horrible

KWorld KW-PCTV-1600 PC to TV Converter
KWorld KW-PCTV-1600 PC to TV Converter

Pros: Easy hook up, remote makes it easy to adjust screen from chair. It does do what its supposed to, just not very good quality. Unfortunately if Video quality is your thing, you will be disappointed by this item

Cons: Horrible picture quality. I bought this thinking it would be a great way to feed a VGA signal to my older, but yet HDTV that had only component video inputs. This thing basicly only outputs at 480i. Picture quality is no different between Composite, or Component video output. Also the color accuracy and contrast is very poor. If I tried watching a DVD through my computer on the TV the color was inaccurate and the blacks horrible. No amount of adjustments on the adapter made any improvement.

Overall Review: Sadly, I have to say any videophile looking for a way to watch HD video from a computer on an older HDTV with no HDMI or DVI inputs should steer clear of this device. Save your money and either get a better adapter or a new TV

Excellent case that's super quiet

Antec Performance Series P101 Silent Black 0.8mm SPCC ATX Mid Tower Case with 8 x 3.5" HDD / 2.5" SSD Removable Bays
Antec Performance Series P101 Silent Black 0.8mm SPCC ATX Mid Tower Case with 8 x 3.5" HDD / 2.5" SSD Removable Bays

Pros: I've bought 2 of these case in the past 5 years. Both times installed a high end RTX 3 fan GPU, plenty of space. All I've had to do is remove one section of the 3.5" internal drive bays to clear the length. Cable management is excellent. Tooless HDD installs are nice, 2 speed fans and fan screens that are easy to clean. Only issue is USB ports on front are on 2.0 and 3.0 compatible. This isn't an issue for me, but good to know if it's a requirement. The quiet case with insulation on the covers, large fans running at low rpm results in quiet operation, and limited dust getting inside. I've oversized my CPU heatsink as well and my first PC has been on 24x7 since 2017 with very little dust intrusion.

Cons: Nothings

Overall Review: If you don't need or want clear covers and want to build a gaming PC that is super quiet, get this.

Awesome cooler

Noctua NH-C14S, Premium CPU Cooler with NF-A14 PWM 140mm Fan (Brown)
Noctua NH-C14S, Premium CPU Cooler with NF-A14 PWM 140mm Fan (Brown)

Pros: This thing is super quiet, The fan runs at like 500 RPM almost all the time. Installation was fairly easy and you can rotate the orientation to clear components on the motherboard.

Cons: This thing once you see it compared to a stock Intel cooler is massive. and its tall. So its not going to fit in some small case. be sure to double check clearances.

Overall Review: I'd buy this again in a heartbeat. well worth the money. Less fan noise, means less air flow required to cool it effective and thus less dust getting in my case. I've built my PC with oversized components and so far with running 18 months, I hardly have any dust in the power supply. I suspect this cooler will be effective in my continued goals of running cool and less dust.

Nice Case

HEC 6C28BBX585 Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 585W Power Supply
HEC 6C28BBX585 Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 585W Power Supply

Pros: I purchased this case because I recently picked up HTPC case made by HEC and thought that one was good. This case I found to be quite nice for the price. Plenty of room, the power supply seemed to be decent, and theres room in the case for a larger fan in the back if so desired. The Gigabyte board I put in there fit well, and I personally didn't find any major problems with sharp corners. In fact the many of the edges that someone could get cut had the sheet metal rolled over to prevent slices.

Cons: They could have added the 1394 header on the front panel. Unfortunately, they cut an opening out on the front panel, but didn't wire it on the back, nor does it look like you could add your own due to the USB/phono jacks on the front being molded to fit the area on the back side. Also the sheet metal on the case is a little thin, but hey I don't go around and kick my case.

Overall Review: For the price and size of the case, I think its great value for the money.

Great Value

Intel Pentium Dual-Core E6500 - Pentium Wolfdale Dual-Core 2.93 GHz LGA 775 65W Processor - BX80571E6500

Pros: Good value for a dual core CPU. Has the VT technology, and handles x64 bit OS's. I'm running Windows 7 and its running the Virtual Server RC for Windows 7 great.

Cons: none I can think of.
