OCZ Trion 100 2.5
  • eggxpert iconEggXpert

Pros: 1. easy installation
2. very competitive pricing
3. very respectable read and write speeds and much faster than mechanical hard drives
4. Easy to use firmware upgrade software

Cons: Durability issues?

Other Thoughts: After installing this in my laptop as an Operating System drive I waited to write a review because of all the negative reviews about this SSD failing after a few weeks or so. I have been using this drive for a few months now and have had any problems with it. This thing brought my 5 year old laptop back to life and I am thrilled to get a few more years out of it. This particular laptop is used mainly for internet surfing and I occasionally download a movie and hook it up to my TV to watch the movie. This laptop gets used every single day and I have not had one issue with this SSD. I also have had an AMD SSD(which is made by OCZ) in my main gaming PC for about 2 years now and I have not had a problem with that drive either. I bench marked this drive and the read and write speeds on this SSD were right around the advertised speeds. I am really curious as to why or how these drives are dying on people. I know OCZ had issues with durability in the beginning but so didn't pretty much every other manufacturer making these things. I would recommend this product to my friends and family who are looking for an inexpensive SSD to liven up an aging PC!

TP-LINK Archer T8E AC1750 Wireless Dual Band PCI Express Adapter Support Windows 10 with New Driver Update
  • eggxpert iconEggXpert
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Very good range for a desktop wireless card
Very easy to install with optional low profile bracket
Easy driver installation
Does not take up very much room
Compatible with b/g/n wireless

Cons: generates a little heat but not a problem if you have proper airflow

Other Thoughts: I installed this in my media center PC and I am getting very good wireless performance. People need to do some research on wireless before they start posting things like :not getting advertised speeds". The speeds wireless products advertise is a max speed in ideal conditions and there are so many variables involved. I am not going to bore you with them. All I will say is that this card in the right conditions can give a you speeds very comparable to wired speeds. Just make sure you have a router that can take advantage of this cards potential and you wont have to worry about running cables. Also, think about where you are transferring from... If you are downloading for a home PC/Server that has platter drives for storage you are limited to the speed of the hard drives. I have excellent transfer speed from my server which has SSD storage to my media center PC which also has SSD for storage. I would recommend this card to anyone that is looking for a way to get out of running cable in their home.

Corsair Gaming H2100 Wireless Dolby 7.1 Gaming Headset - Greyhawk
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

4 out of 5 eggs Decent pair of headphones 09/23/2015

This review is from: Corsair Gaming H2100 Wireless Dolby 7.1 Gaming Headset - Greyhawk

Pros: They are one of the better sounding headphones in this price range
A little snug but still Comfortable
Great build quality
Good battery life
Blocks outside noise
Wireless works good
Good sounding mic
Rotating ear cups
Good wireless range

Cons: A little on the heavy side for me but not enough to knock an egg off
Some white noise but that's expected with wireless

Other Thoughts: I'm going to be frank and say that these are not perfect headphones but for the price and what they offer they are a really good deal. I have tried some of the higher end wireless headsets and they really are not that much better than these. These also rank up there in build quality and even better than some of the more expensive ones. They don't get super loud but they do not distort really either so that's a good trade off. You are not going to get perfect sound quality with wireless headphones(the technology is just not there yet) but you can get really quality sound and wire freedom and that's exactly what this pair of headsets offers... and at a decent price. I would recommend these to a gamer who is looking for decent sounding wireless headset.
