TP-LINK TL-SG105E 5-Port Gigabit Easy Smart Switch with 5 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 Ports, MTU/Port/Tag-Based VLAN, QoS and IGMP

  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Competitive price
Solid construction
Good performance
Easy set up
Simple interface
Clean looking
Great advanced functionality
Plug and play
5 year warranty

Cons: I can not think of a con... It's a inexpensive and runs great

Other Thoughts: So I initially just plugged this thing in and didn't log into it just to see if it was plug and play(you may have to change the default IP address if your router has the same IP). It worked simply plugging it in with no set up. So if there are people scared off by the "managed" part of it, don't be because it will work right out of the box like any other switch. After I hooked it up I kind of forgot about it for about a month until I had to transfer a bunch of stuff from my storage server. Transfer rates were great for an inexpensive gigabit switch. I couldn't fully max out the gigabit speeds of the switch because of my slower hard drives on my server but it was as fast as they could send the files. When I finally decided to start setting this thing up I had to download the software from TP-Link's website because the disc wouldn't install on my Win8 PC as one other reviewer had stated. The software interface is pretty clean and easy to navigate through. I work for an WISP(wireless internet service provider) so I was able to set up a VLAN from my house all the way back to my office which was fairly simple but I have worked with VLANs for about a decade now. It pretty much has everything you would ask for a small office/ home managed switch.
Bottom line... For 32 bucks you get a clean looking, solid constructed 5 port managed switch that is easy to set up. Nuff said!

AMD Radeon SSD Radeon R7 RADEON-R7SSD-240G 2.5

Pros: Competitive pricing
Incredible speeds and competing with the top drives
Comes with Acronis

Cons: I can not for the life of me think of one single con for this SSD,.. I am that impressed with it

Other Thoughts: I have been testing this SSD drive for over a month now just trying to find a flaw or wait for it to give me some sort of a con because I mean come on, every product has a flaw these days right? Nope not one! In fact I replaced my Samsung SSD with this one in my main rig. I first tested this in my laptop which has an i3 and 4gb of memory. Everything from cloning my old drive to the SSD to installing it in my laptop went very smooth. BTW, the Acronis software that it comes with is very easy to use. It went so smooth I decided to try it in my main gaming rig to get some real world and benchmark tests going on. Acronis software worked seamlessly again... so I booted from this drive and in about 10 seconds I was at desktop!. I was use to fast boot ups but I rebooted a few times and timed it to see how consistent it was. 10 second boot time! that's with my motherboard set to quick boot so it doesn't have to wait for all the post stuff. I then proceeded to start the benchmarking and it did not disappoint . I wont bore you with all the results but in the right computer this thing screams and will do every bit of the advertised speeds and sometimes faster. I have been so impressed with this SSD that I have not put my Samsung back in yet. Yes this drive is made by OZC and yes I have had problems in the past with OCZ SSD's, but that was in the infancy stages of SSDs. I think everyone has came a long way since then including OCZ. This is the fastest SSD I have had my hands on and I have had the opportunity to use around 15 different brands of SSDs over the years. This one is solid and I would recommend it to anyone.

4 out of 5 eggs Corsair Flash Voyager GT 64GB 3.0 01/18/2015

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager GT 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model CMFVYGT3B-64GB

Pros: rubber casing
competitive pricing

Cons: not too big of a con but it may seem a little bulky for some but personally i like the size of it and the grip to the rubber housing

Other Thoughts: I did some benchmarking with this and the results were pretty good. I won't bore you with all the results but In a USB 3.0 port on my laptop ATTO benchmark tool tested this USB drive around 75MBs write and between 225 and 235MBs read. I have used this drive as an install disk for Windows 8 and it worked great. I mainly use this drive to transfer movies. I get great transfer speeds from my SSD to this drive... usually between 75 and 95MBs. So bottom line is if you are the market for a speedy durable USB drive you will not be disappointed with one.
