Fast SSD.... Very impressed!!!!!

AMD Radeon SSD Radeon R7 2.5" 240GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) RADEON-R7SSD-240G
AMD Radeon SSD Radeon R7 2.5" 240GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) RADEON-R7SSD-240G

Pros: Competitive pricing Incredible speeds and competing with the top drives Comes with Acronis

Cons: I can not for the life of me think of one single con for this SSD,.. I am that impressed with it

Overall Review: I have been testing this SSD drive for over a month now just trying to find a flaw or wait for it to give me some sort of a con because I mean come on, every product has a flaw these days right? Nope not one! In fact I replaced my Samsung SSD with this one in my main rig. I first tested this in my laptop which has an i3 and 4gb of memory. Everything from cloning my old drive to the SSD to installing it in my laptop went very smooth. BTW, the Acronis software that it comes with is very easy to use. It went so smooth I decided to try it in my main gaming rig to get some real world and benchmark tests going on. Acronis software worked seamlessly again... so I booted from this drive and in about 10 seconds I was at desktop!. I was use to fast boot ups but I rebooted a few times and timed it to see how consistent it was. 10 second boot time! that's with my motherboard set to quick boot so it doesn't have to wait for all the post stuff. I then proceeded to start the benchmarking and it did not disappoint . I wont bore you with all the results but in the right computer this thing screams and will do every bit of the advertised speeds and sometimes faster. I have been so impressed with this SSD that I have not put my Samsung back in yet. Yes this drive is made by OZC and yes I have had problems in the past with OCZ SSD's, but that was in the infancy stages of SSDs. I think everyone has came a long way since then including OCZ. This is the fastest SSD I have had my hands on and I have had the opportunity to use around 15 different brands of SSDs over the years. This one is solid and I would recommend it to anyone.

Corsair Voyager Slider 64GB 3.0 Flash Drive

Corsair 64GB Voyager Slider USB 3.0 Flash Drive (CMFSL3B-64GB)
Corsair 64GB Voyager Slider USB 3.0 Flash Drive (CMFSL3B-64GB)

Pros: Good size for backing up files or what ever you need it for Feels pretty rugged and could withstand a drop Very Competitive price per size Recognized in 3 different operating systems (Win7, Win8 and Win 8.1) 5 year warranty

Cons: Definitely not the fastest 3.0 drive I have used as other reviewers have stated. Although the read speeds are pretty snappy the write speeds are only slightly faster that USB 2.0.

Overall Review: The slower speeds is why I had to give it a 3 egg rating plus you can find 64GB drives cheaper and probably faster. Here are my results with Atto benchmark tool: Filesize / Write Speed / Read Speed (MB/sec) 0.5 / 208 / 3319 1.0 / 444 / 6243 2.0 / 890 / 12106 4.0 / 1820 / 19359 8.0 / 5184 / 26491 16.0 / 3846 /34942 32.0 / 7858 /38641 64.0 / 9051 / 42010 128.0 / 11883 / 41412 256.0 / 12141 / 41562 512.0 / 12999 / 40184 1024.0 / 12959 / 41110 2048.0 / 14186 / 40108 4096.0 / 14 625 / 41191 8192.0 / 16025 / 78261 In real world situations it starts to write fast around 35MBs then it will drop down to 16MBs or so. Other than the "slower" write speeds I am fine with the drive as a smple storage device and maybe that's what it was meant for.

very nice product

devolo Magic 2 LAN triple Starter Kit
devolo Magic 2 LAN triple Starter Kit

Pros: easy software setup plug and play good speeds good alternative to running wire has security consistent pings

Cons: no real cons but if your electrical isn't good neither will this be

Overall Review: easy plug and play set up even if you don't want to use the software. Software is easy to install and use. You set a password on it if you want to secure it. I have had pretty good luck with these although I'm not quite getting my full internet speeds through them and that could has something to do with my electrical lines. I have a 100mbs internet connection and I get on the average around 85mbs on these. I will say my pings are a lot more consistent then the wireless I was previously using so that's a plus. I'm not able run CAT6 wire to the room I am using these in so to me they are very convenient. They have been very reliable the 2 weeks I've been using them. Overall I would say they are a very good alternative to running wire.

easy to use video editing app

Adobe Premiere Elements 2021 - Windows & Mac
Adobe Premiere Elements 2021 - Windows & Mac

Pros: Simple interface Cross-platform support Lots of video effects Solid text tools

Cons: Slow output rendering speed No multicam support No screen recording capability

Overall Review: Over all a decent editing. Its many guidance features provide a good education on how to make some pretty cool projects. It is by no means the fastest or the most powerful video editor but it is decent if you have some high end components in your PC. Bottom line: it is is easy to use and offers lots of editing help, but lacks in features and format support as well as in rendering performance, but over all is a very good editing tool

Not a bad racing chair but needs improvements

Gamdias Achilles E1 RGB Gaming Chair - Black / White
Gamdias Achilles E1 RGB Gaming Chair - Black / White

Pros: - decent price for what you get - very easy and straight forward assembly - nice looking black and white design - seems very mechanically sound - adjustable arm rests - RGB lights look pretty sweet - rollers are some of the best

Cons: - the actual foam/cushion is not very dense - narrow area for your rump with the side pads - stiff reclining motion - head rest can not be adjusted - RGB's need plugged onto external power source -

Overall Review: I want everyone to know right off the bat that I have a "DX" version(over$100 more expensive) of a chair like this. With that being said I will begin my review by saying I was impressed right off the bat with the construction and ease of assembly of this chair. It kind of reminded me of another chair I have assembled ;-) I did not use the paper instructions that came in the box but I am sure it will be handy for first timers. Once assembled I took a seat and right away I notice it was pretty comfortable. It was a tight fit for me (5'8" 210lbs) but I knew it was going to be perfect for my son(5'5" 108lbs) who will be the one really putting this to the test. I noticed that the cushion was not a high density foam like I am used to from my "other" chair but also realized that it will be sufficient for the 100lb lighter version of myself that will be using it. The head rest is not adjustable and I found it is more comfortable with out it. How ever the lumbar pillow is adjustable and works well. Mechanically this chair is very sound and seems like it will last a long time. The arm rest adjustments move up/ down, forward/ back and they work well. It felt as solid as any other expensive chair I have sat in. One thing that did somewhat annoy me was the stiff reclining motion right out of the box. You really have to work at it to rock this thing. There might be an adjustment for that or maybe it will loosen up over time. The chair looks very nice and actually looks expensive. The RGB lights are kind of gimmicky but my son thinks they are cool. The thing I really don't like is that you have to use an external power source to power the RGBs. An internal battery would've been my choice if I was the engineer of this chair. BTW, you don't have to use the RGB lights and it just looks like a normal racing chair when off. Other than that the aesthetics of this chair are stunning... has a very cool look to it. The bottom line is that if you are some what of a slim person or looking for a race style chair for your teenager and you don't want to break the bank... this is a solid choice!
