Great board!
Pros: Great board overall. This is a military grade board and has lasted longer than any other motherboard in my web/gaming café. We run HIGH end computers in this café and I keep going back to this board.
Cons: Price is always an issue with a high end board, but there are no cons at all.
Overall Review: To the 1 egg comment, you should remove it and check your power supply/wiring. If the board was bad, call asus as they are very good with customer service. The only board that is better than this (cost/effective/high end) is the Z97 version currently or the full ATX.
Purchased 13 monitors. Flimsy and bad design all around... good screen
Pros: It has a great screen for the price. No screen tearing or ghosting for the most part. For how cheap the monitor is, the screen is worth it... but...
Cons: POOR design all around (eccept for the screen itself). The stand is garbage. Flimsy, difficult, and does NOT fully come off making VESA mounting almost impossible. When removing the stand for vesa mounting, following the instructions to the letter, 2 of the 13 monitors we got broke. Black lines everywhere. The menu and power buttons are just 1 button on the back, impossible to get to in a normal setting and very difficult to use. The bezel was broken on 3 of them with scuffs on the top making it seem that it was broken prior to packaging at the factory.
Overall Review: Stay away. Samsung was our primary brand for the entire store... and is not anymore. installed 10 TV's ranging from 32-75" and 13 of these curved monitors. Every single one was flimsy and weak. We will be going with viewsonic and LG from now on. Those have not let us down this bad.
Watch out Blizzard, there is a new storm in town!
Pros: Rift is huge. Very much like World of Warcraft for play style and control, however, quite a different story! I will keep it simple and put the thoughts below. -Huge world to explore -Average to quick XP gain -Easy to use interface -Public groups for large fights or rifts (no more camping bosses!!!) -Easy to find your way around -GREAT graphics (no cartoons running around. Very realistic) -A direct upgrade from World of Warcraft with many added things!
Cons: Pretty much no cons as the ones I would list will most likely be fixed as the game progresses. -Even a level 10 mob will attack a level 50 and knock him off his mount... annoying but fixable. -Rifts (much like opening events in WoW. They are world ongoing events) can pop up on top of you if you dont pay attention. -Addons (made popular by WoW) are almost non existant at the moment. Will VERY likely be implemented as we progress.
Overall Review: I am a power gamer. I enjoy a game that is challenging and rift is no puppy dog. I have played: UO, DAoC, SWG, EQ, EQ2, LotRO, WoW, an many many other MMORPGs and "Rift" takes the cake. I have been searching for a game that would hold my intereste well. Most of my time was spent on 3 of my favorite MMOs... Dark Age of Camelot, Star Wars Galaxies (til they ruined it), and World of Warcraft (because there wasn't much else.) When I started Rift, I was instantly thrilled with the gameplay, graphics, and everything about it! Plays MUCH like WoW does. (think WoW if you have any question and you will likely figure it out) The difference is that RIFT is REAL... not a bunch of cartoons running around on chickens. If you are looking for a MMO to play that will be VERY popular in the future and enjoy a game much like WoW, this is the game for you... Put away your gnomish toys and come play with the big boys!
Possibly the BEST
Pros: Very sturdy, Bright and rich screen, easy to use remote (not clunky or cheap), Stand is actually strong unlike most. Recieved mine with 0 dead pixles and no problems. VERY easy to use and has an optical out as well as a USB in and 4 HDMI ports. A monkey could hook thing thing up to blueray, sattelite, and a 7.1 stereo then plug in an xbox 360 along with a few other game systems in 15 minutes or less.
Cons: Con's are difficult to write about on a good item. The one that stands out is the sound. You may want to get a nice speaker system to plug into (making sure it handles optical) Computer speaker systems are sufficient if you don't want theater sound.
Overall Review: I have owned this television for almost a year now and have not had one problem with it at all. Needless to say... all you out there spending 2,000$ on a nice big LCD are suckers!... even my neighbors are envious and we have the same size LCD... theirs was just 1200$ more and doesn't even have 4 HDMI ports or optical out. I have this hooked up to DISH (HD), Xbox 360, blueray, and a media computer. NO problems and MANY fun nights of entertainment. Watch out companies... here comes Sceptre!
Good Budjet Mic
Pros: Budjet Mic. 10$ is not a lot to pay for a good mic on a budjet. From the 5$ cheapies to the 150$ studio mics, this is a great mic for ventrilo, online chatting, and anything else not involving quality. It has a mute switch directly on the front for easy muting.
Cons: This mic can be a bit tricky. It is very sturdy, but it takes someone with a bit of audio knowhow to get working properly. It isnt anything like a plug-n-play logitec, but on a budjet with some brains, one can use this just fine.
Overall Review: Honestly, I would just go over to the logitec mics. Top rated, great price, and a good brand to back it up.
Risk with GREAT outcome!
Pros: Price paid was 800.00$. The company is new so there is not much known about it. I have owned many other LCD televisions and monitors and this one beats them all in quality (even over our panasonic and sony). Most televisions of this size run 1500-2000$ but this is less than half that price! Worked right out of the box with little tinkering with a beautiful picture. ZERO dead or stuck pixles! Nice and sturdy with a strong stand that even swivles!
Cons: The only two cons that I can think of is the heat and the speakers. It does run a bit hotter than most televisions, however, this is not that big of a con due to the fact it still runs fairly cool than some. Heat you just cant get away from without going to an LED television. Of course the speakers are lacking, but I have not seen ANY LCD television that had good speakers. Just get a home theater set (I use onkyo) and you will truely be in the movies!
Overall Review: We have a samsung Blueray player we hooked this up to as well as dish television. The television works great with dish even though dish still doesn't know how to make normal television HD. HD Theater (the best channel on dish for the TV) looks amazing! Blueray movies look stunning and we don't have to set anything up. Plug and play television. I am GLAD we took this risk and many people are envious of how much we paid for what we got!
