XFX Radeon HD 5830 1GB DDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card HD-583X-ZAFV

Pros: Runs at highest settings on most everything I do without breaking a sweat. Great price Overclocks well

Cons: Pretty big, but fits well in my Cooler Master HAF case. Power is in very inconvenient location. Makes it hard to plug in. Can get pretty loud.

SAPPHIRE 100924 Active DisplayPort to DVI-I Adapter
SAPPHIRE 100924 Active DisplayPort to DVI-I Adapter

Pros: Works great... when it works. Easy to use. Just plug and play.

Cons: A little bulky

Overall Review: I've owned this since November 2010 and it just started causing the screen that it's connected to to flicker whenever I plug it in. Of course, it's now out of the return period and I'll probably have to suck it up and get a new one. That is unless Newegg's great customer service comes through for me. :)

2nd Board, No Longer Powers On

ASUS Z87-EXPERT LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS Z87-EXPERT LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: When this works, it's a beast.

Cons: Had to RMA the first one after the PCI-e 1x ports weren't working. Now, about 3 months later, the new motherboard will not power on at all.

Overall Review: The RAM is verified as working, the PSU also, and all other components are still working in a different system. I've troubleshooted the entire system, and it has lead me to the motherboard. 2nd ASUS Z87-Expert that has failed me in the space of 6 months. Guess it's time to move on to another manufacturer.

MOSTLY Works

ASUS Z87-EXPERT LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS Z87-EXPERT LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: I've had this board since the end of January 2014. It was an easy setup. Everything fit how it was supposed to, and there is plenty of room for add on cards. Some of the PCI-E 1x slots will get covered when using a wider card in the PCI-E 16x slots, however. I've recently added more than just an audio card to the board. That's where the CONS come in.

Cons: I thought everything on this board was fine, until I plugged in a USB 3.0 PCI-E card into one of the other PCI-E 1x slots. None of them work. The only one that does, is #1. Updating the BIOS to the latest version didn't fix the issue. And there are tons of others out there complaining about the same thing. Essentially, I can only use my PCI-E 16x 1,2,3 slots, and PCI-E 1x slot #1. I'm not sure if I was given a bad board, but buyer beware. You could end up with one that suffers from the same fate as mine.

Bigger IS Better

OCZ OCZMPBMRG Behemoth Regulator Mousepad
OCZ OCZMPBMRG Behemoth Regulator Mousepad

Pros: Big. Behemoth is ABSOLUTELY right. Design isn't cheaply painted on (no irritating bumps) Does not slide on my wood or glass desks I have it positioned vertically, and there's still plenty of horizontal room. Works great with my laser mouse. Feels nice on the wrist also.

Cons: Nothing.

Perfect!

SAPPHIRE 100924 Active DisplayPort to DVI-I Adapter
SAPPHIRE 100924 Active DisplayPort to DVI-I Adapter

Pros: Exactly what I expected. Works perfectly with 23" Samsung monitor and 42" Panasonic TV. It does the job and doesn't take up another USB port for power.

Cons: I haven't run into any issues.

Overall Review: I originally bought a DisplayPort adapter that advertised it being Active, only to discover once I got it that it wasn't. I came on Newegg and found this one right away for the same price.
