Great 144Hz panel with awesome Color!

MSI Optix G27C Black/Red 27" Curved FHD 1080p 1ms (MPRT) 144 Hz AMD FreeSync Gaming Monitor, 16:9 Aspect Ratio, 110% sRGB, 178 Degree Viewing Angle, DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort, Tilt Capable
MSI Optix G27C Black/Red 27" Curved FHD 1080p 1ms (MPRT) 144 Hz AMD FreeSync Gaming Monitor, 16:9 Aspect Ratio, 110% sRGB, 178 Degree Viewing Angle, DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort, Tilt Capable

Pros: - VA panel (incredible color saturation and good contrast) - 144Hz works smoothly without aggressive ghosting - 27" - smooth and light anti-glare surface (no graininess) - low input lag - zero dead pixels - low blue light mode - 100% Flicker free

Cons: - There is some visible back light bleed in the corners in dark scenes or low light encounters. - out of the box calibration is bad, had to lower the gamma on my nvidia control panel. - viewing angles are pretty narrow (colors lose saturation quickly off angle) - No height adjust

Overall Review: I would recommend this monitor to anyone who can't afford the 27" Samsung quantum dot model. My G27C came with no dead pixels and does 144Hz flawlessly as advertised. It looks so much better than any TN gaming monitor and will have deep blacks. The ghosting is acceptable for a VA panel, but TN panels are obviously a little snappier. A very small compromise for amazing image quality. Good job MSI on your first monitor.

Quality control

ASUS 23.6" FHD LCD Monitor 1ms (GTG) 1920 x 1080 D-Sub, HDMI VN247H-P
ASUS 23.6" FHD LCD Monitor 1ms (GTG) 1920 x 1080 D-Sub, HDMI VN247H-P

Pros: Pros: slim bezel, acceptable color for a TN panel, and no external power brick.

Cons: Cons: Mine had 4 dead pixels and could not get them unstuck using a number of methods. 1ms had no effect and still had visible motion blur, and extremely narrow viewing angles which will be a given since it is a TN panel.

Overall Review: Even though the description does not warn you that asus has low quality control and there is the possibility of your monitor having dead pixels, I still had to purchase an RMA and pay for shipping of a total $40 to send it back. Never buying from ASUS again.

Favorite gaming monitor

BenQ XL2411Z Black 24" 144HZ 1ms (GTG) Gaming Monitor, Height &Pivot Adjustable, 350 cd/m2 DCR 12,000,000:1 (1000:1), D-Sub DVI-DL HDMI
BenQ XL2411Z Black 24" 144HZ 1ms (GTG) Gaming Monitor, Height &Pivot Adjustable, 350 cd/m2 DCR 12,000,000:1 (1000:1), D-Sub DVI-DL HDMI

Pros: Has 144hz, pulsing back light feature, 1ms RT, 0.001 frame of input lag, connects easily to my pc and ps4, and quality stand.

Cons: Questionable design that some people may not like and doesn't have slim bezels, but nothing that affects performance though. Because of the nature of TN, colors will look washed out in comparison to a premium grade IPS screen.

Overall Review: I went through 3 asus screens before buying this one, and all the asus screens I bought were delivered to me with dead pixels and was unhappy with their quality control, much happier with benq. I bought mine from NCIXUS.com because it was $40 cheaper there at the time and only paid $230 shipped :)

Reliable

D-Link Wireless N300 Dual Band PCI Express Desktop Adapter (DWA-566)
D-Link Wireless N300 Dual Band PCI Express Desktop Adapter (DWA-566)

Pros: 5Ghz 300 mpbs easy setup and integrates into my windows 7 (64 bit) Reliable and consistent connection

Cons: Didn't get sooner.

Overall Review: I used to have a generic PCI wireless adapter that was about $20 and did the job for most things. But whenever I tried online gaming my lag, high ping, and D/Cs were just getting annoying. My gaming was basically being bottlenecked by the fact my wireless internet was weak link. But when I payed the pretty penny for this D Link adapter, I got exactly what I expected from a $70 adapter which is a great fast connection and am happy.
