Good Card/Long Rebate
Pros: This is an update to a previous review I wrote a few months ago. This card is great! Less expensive than other 1GB 4870 cards, Zalman cooler, can handle anything I play at max settings without problems.
Cons: 1. Size, which I knew when buying it. Card is so long and so wide that it cuts my CoolerMaster Centurion 5 almost in half. 2. Power hookups; requires two PCI-E connectors. Comes with an adapter, but make sure your PSU has enough spare plugs. 3. Rebate (see below)
Overall Review: The rebate processing "confirmed" receipt of my rebate application (the actual form w/barcode, not my online registration) quickly after I sent it in. It took 10 weeks for them to "process" my application. They then emailed me saying I would receive my rebate check in 8-10 weeks. TWENTY WEEKS FOR A REBATE IS OUTRAGEOUS!
Worthless
Pros: Portability.
Cons: Connected to my wireless network and then immediately dropped the connection, over and over and over and over and over again. Never established a stable connection.
Overall Review: I installed the drivers from the packaged CD. After encountering the problem (see Cons) I uninstalled the drivers, then downloaded and installed the drivers from Rosewill's website. This did not fix the problem. I spent nearly half the purchase price (return shipping plus refund restocking fee) to learn that I will never buy a Rosewill product again. I expect the products I buy to work correctly the first time.
Easy-to-use, quality wireless adapter
Pros: - Plug and play. - Acquires signal quickly 95%+ of the time. - Durable, quality feel.
Cons: - Price, but worth the cost.
Overall Review: I have used TP-LINK wireless adapters for 10 years with great results. I have had this particular product for almost 1 year and it's working well. I am purchasing two more for two new computers I'm building. Bottom line, YES I would recommend this product.
Decent
Pros: 1. Small footprint. 2. Bland white color goes with anything. 3. Can be laid horizontal or can sit vertical with included feet. 4. Easy to install driver. 5. Compatible with Windows XP networking. Easy network setup control panel. Port forwarding, IP address reservation, hardware firewall, IP and content blocking, and more
Cons: Some features on the control panel do not work. You cannot use the feature which emails you a notification when someone visits a restricted site.
Overall Review: I've owned this router for over three years and it works fine. The wireless speed is slow compared to the new routers these days, but it works fine for my home network. Overall, a decent little router.
Great Case
Pros: Lots of vents. The fans are relatively quiet. Lightweight (aluminum). Toolless design. Markings next to standoff holes indicate which holes should be used for which mobo form factors.
Cons: The manual is very skimpy. If my mobo manual hadn't be so good (Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P), I might not have been able to figure out which leads went where for the power led, HDD activity led, case speaker, etc.
Overall Review: A nice case for the price.
Solid Performance
Pros: Has lots of ports. Looks pretty. Basic functions work well. Very solid construction. Most importantly for a non-uber l33t haxxor like me, it has an excellent manual.
Cons: Mine does not overclock great, but it's hard to say whether that's my processor (E8500) or the motherboard. Otherwise, no problems
Overall Review: Would buy again.
