Good Router

Pros: I was shocked how much faster i can surf the web wirelessly -- my previous G router was more of a bottleneck than I would have thought. The 1Gigbit wired ports are awesome.
Cons: Tricky setup on the GN SSID. I have a G only card that I am using to connect to this. I made the mistake of setting the max limit at 300 versus the 54, that a G only card can handle. It kept dropping connection. Once I set it to 54, no problems.
Overall Review: Price was a bit much. The free rebuilt Wireless N usb device that NewEgg offered as a bundle helped. I have been going through Linksys Routers about once a year. I've gone through 2, and have no confidence in the new "sleak" versions out there. I don't care if the router is pretty -- i only care if it works and stands the test of time.
Buyer Beware Metro Business Systems

Pros: This is not new egg selling you a refurbed item. it is some company Metro Business Systems. They are not responsive to solving problems that were apparent immediately after the unit arrived. There did NOT appear to be any checklist or QA ahead of time that guaranteed a workable unit.
Cons: The keyboard was faulty from day one. Even though they sent a replacement, that is down time for using a laptop that I purchased in good faith. Then I started getting fan errors. I sent the unti back with an RMA for a return, but now I cannot contact anyone about the status.
Overall Review: New egg, you should be more clear that this refurbished product was not maintained by you directly. I'm no stranger to refurbished equipment. Ive purchased directly from Dell and Lenovo Outlet before and those experiences were great. I feel i purchased a laptop from a garage sale. only now, I have no laptop or money to show for it.
Buyer Beware

Pros: 500GB in a small space.
Cons: Proprietary mini usb cable. Their WD Virtual CD. It is some "helpful" tool to connect to the device to do auto back ups, and such. It's the Itunes version for external hard drives. I can't get rid of that thing -- my internet reading says it's embedded in some ROM chip, otherwise i would simply delete and format. All i wanted was a portable external hardrive that i dragged files onto. Now, evertyime i plug it in, i get a "Searching for new hardware" message.
