Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 - Core 2 Duo Conroe Dual-Core 2.4 GHz LGA 775 65W Processor - BX80557E6600

Most Critical Review

Was good while it lasted

GIGABYTE GA-G41MT-S2PT LGA 775 Intel G41 + ICH7 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-G41MT-S2PT LGA 775 Intel G41 + ICH7 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Supported my DDR3 RAM Worked great with my 550ti video card the audio sounded great compared to my old Asus-P5N

Cons: It lasted about about a year, maybe a month or two in and just quit on me.

Overall Review: Going to try to RMA it, when it died I was in the middle of a court case so I used my old MOBO and got distracted by life. Hopefully it is still within the three year warranty. If not I might still just buy another one. Finding an unused LGA 775 board at a decent price is tough.

Started of good

ASUS VW246H Glossy Black 24" HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ASCR 20000:1 (1000:1) Built-in Speakers
ASUS VW246H Glossy Black 24" HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ASCR 20000:1 (1000:1) Built-in Speakers

Pros: I got this for Christmas. Looks good I have my computer and ps3 hooked up to it. had no dead pixels when I received it. When I got it I couldn't have been happier until...

Cons: *Switching through inputs is a bit of a hassle. I mean my old monitor could detect them automatically on this one I have to hit the input button repeatedly until it decides it wants to switch. *Flimsy stand but not a big deal really * Settings are gonna take some work to adjust * Ok so here's the real problem about 2 weeks ago there was a white tear on the bottom of my screen. Its not that big so I wasn't too worried about it. However, now I noticed its getting bigger. It has now become a problem. I was happy with it for a good six months but now i don't know how big this thing will get so who knows if I'll use it another 6 months or not. I'd hate to have to go back to my old 720 19" but at least it works.

Overall Review: I'm gonna call asus but I'm sure I'll just be disappointed. Those complaining about the speakers here's some advice. Monitor speakers almost always suck! Its just 2w speakers thrown in there to add another bullet point, get your self a pair of good speakers. You bought the monitor for the screen right?

Great Product

ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink
ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink

Pros: I have a core2duo e6600 and this cooler keeps my temps at about 50c under load and about 45c idle. The stock cooler ran at 50c idle so a good difference. It also runs real quiet can't hear it over other noises.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Must buy. I will by Zalman again

Overall Review: I actually have the silver version of this monitor and I love it if I build another computer I'll buy this one again
