Huge cooler

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: It is very quiet and efficient at what it is suppose to do. I overclocked my i7 2600k to 4.4 and the temp is around 60C at full load.

Cons: This thing is HUGE. Installation took some time and it doesn't sit on the cpu firmly, the heatsink can be moved accidentally while you work inside the case. Also I only have 2 sticks of ram now, but I was planning to get 2 more and I don't think the leftmost will fit because off the fan. It is a disappointment. I might try to place a fan on the other side of heatsink.

Overall Review: Had to buy different case from what I first planned because I wanted this cooler and it wouldn't fit in this case. The main reason is top of heat pipes sticking out from the top of the heatsink. Other than it's huge size, the cooler is great, even have option of adding a second fan. But then it will take all space in mid tower and most of the space in full tower.

SAMSUNG Laptop Series 7 Intel Core i7-3615QM 8GB Memory 750GB HDD NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M 15.6" Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit NP700Z5C-S02US

Pros: none apparently

Cons: it dies

Overall Review: Right after my review laptop refused to boot up. A second laptop in a row! with the same issue! I'll try to get my money back and get another product, not Samsung this time. The issue is: it doesn't get to POST and fans aren't working. It just powers on and that's it - no POST, no anything. Deeply disappointed in Samsung.

Great mouse

LOGITECH G502 Proteus Core Tunable Gaming Mouse #910-004074
LOGITECH G502 Proteus Core Tunable Gaming Mouse #910-004074

Pros: Nice sensor, mouse fits in the hand very comfortably. I have yet to hit any buttons by accident. I have moderately large hands and I can very comfortably press 3 buttons on the side of the mouse. Also it is unlikely you would press them by accident.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Some people mentioned the right click when mouse is dropped. Also this does happen, it requires substantial amount of force applied. So this would not happen normally. I used all of the weights supplied with the mouse, and it is still very easy to move, also it is quite heavy to lift, I like it this way a lot.

Cons: See other thoughts

Overall Review: After playing with settings, Benson suggested I did not had my computer lock up and ports shut down, so I add 2 eggs for the board. To be fair, the long post does relate to my ram, but it still should not be as long as it takes. Also after I changed the settings - it is better now. (why wasn't those default?) Here is my config: asus p8p67 deluxe (same as ASUS P8P67 WS REVOLUTION, just different video chipset) i7 2600k + hyper 212 plus 8gb corsair vengeance (4gb x 2) asus gtx 560 corsair hx 850w psu sumsung ssd 830 x 2 500 wd caviar black 1tb seagate barracuda. asus dvd-rw I still think warranty is too short, especially since other manufacturers have 3 years. So basically for now my computer works satisfactory, I'll post an update if the problem persists (it's only been 1 day so far). I'm currently logging all my hardware behavior and will examine it later as well.

Good perfomance, bad firmware

NETGEAR WNDR4500 N900 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Open Source Router - IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n
NETGEAR WNDR4500 N900 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Open Source Router - IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n

Pros: The setup is easy. It comes with wireless encryption set to a proper setting out of the box. Works very nicely, supports IPv6.

Cons: The router did disappoint me a lot in terms of firmware and settings. There are no default login information anywhere for administration. Got it right the first time only because it is standard. But this is nothing big. What bothers me is that your wireless key is displayed in a plain text and shown at the home page. I can't change username for login info. There is no ssh configuration option. IPv6 is supported, but the configuration is just bad. You cant specify just what dns servers to use for ipv6, you will have to specify an ip address as well, which you can only get from isp, but dns can be used from other companies or must be specified manually for beta-testing. Also while I'm writing this review router lost connection, probably because of the simple download of a single file. After I turned download off - it connected again. Logs just poorly organized and hard to read. They have this little 900px window for config - no one uses those screens 1024x768 anymore....

Overall Review: I just got the router, only had it for a day, so I didn't test it on the actual performance and probably wont. It does seem to increase speed in my network, but I really hoped that configuration in hi-end router would be also for hi-tech users. I don't use wireless much at this time, but wired network performance is very important and the router seems to do it well... I hope dd-wrt will com out for this router.

ALTEC LANSING VS2620 5 Watts RMS 2.0 Value Computer Speakers
ALTEC LANSING VS2620 5 Watts RMS 2.0 Value Computer Speakers

Pros: For the price have a good performance for all-around everyday use. Good for movies and games. Pretty loud.

Cons: When listening to music I hear a lot of noise from these speakers. The only reason I tolerate them is the price. They give you About what you will expect from low-end speakers.
