UPS is the devil.

26" 720p LCD HDTV
26" 720p LCD HDTV

Pros: Excellent picture clarity. Despite my expectations of the speakers being pathetic, I was actually surprised by the quality.

Cons: UPS rang the doorbell, DROPPED the box off (and I mean dropped literally), and bolted. They were two blocks down before I opened the door. As a result, four of the screws holding the casing together have been ripped out. There goes my ability to return it due to shipping damage. Thanks UPS.

Yep. It's nice

SilverStone RAVEN RV01-BW Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case
SilverStone RAVEN RV01-BW Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: It's pretty. Pretty big. Thankfully the bottom area for the PSU is so enormous compared to most cases because my PSU STILL barely fit.

Cons: The 90° angle necessitates that you make sure your PSU connections are long enough (i7 8 pins are a great example of this). Power/Reset buttons could have been put inside the sliding panel, considering how ridiculously sensitive they are. Could Silverstone have been troubled to add in at least one or two more single backplane modules? It's not like they're that expensive to begin with, and only having one for hotswap functionality is just dumb.

Overall Review: Never noticed the blue light across the top front in pictures of the case that I've seen, but I don't think I'll be not lazy enough to disconnect that molex in ever.

Cushioned I/O plate!

EVGA E758-A1 3-Way SLI (x16/x16/x8) LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard
EVGA E758-A1 3-Way SLI (x16/x16/x8) LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: The I/O plate has a cushioned back side! No more snagging those things on my fingers now! Ha HA! This was the ONLY reason I got this over other i7 boards, as it's all pretty much the same specs unless you're wanting some goofy thing on yours like a speaker for a heatsink.

Cons: The heatsink that's in the way of the 8 pin makes me wonder what the people at eVGA are consuming.

Overall Review: The I/O plate. It's cushioned. Seriously, get this one.

Forget 24", get this!

Hanns·G HG-281DPB Black 28" 3ms Widescreen LCD HDMI Monitor 500 cd/m2 800:1 Built-in Speakers
Hanns·G HG-281DPB Black 28" 3ms Widescreen LCD HDMI Monitor 500 cd/m2 800:1 Built-in Speakers

Pros: Hanns-G did a great job with this monitor. The color reproduction and brightness were a detraction at first, but after calibrating this thing, I am impressed. The OSD menu is a definite improvement over the 22" Hanns-G that I had prior to this. No ghosting, HDMI input's great, and

Cons: My wife keeps trying to steal it from me. I have to actually move my head to follow the mouse from opposite corners of the screen.

Overall Review: I was wary of getting a Hanns-G monitor the first time I got one, which was a 22" that was $40 cheaper than the competition at the time (two years ago). Now I have no qualms whatsoever about continuing to purchase from this company, as they make incredibly well-done monitors for those on a budget.

Fantastic keyboard!

Logitech K740 Illuminated USB Keyboard
Logitech K740 Illuminated USB Keyboard

Pros: I had the super cheap Logitech UltraX keyboard (item N82E16823126022) for going on four years, which is also low profile as well. The keys are pretty tactile compared to other low profile keyboards Ive tried. The adjustable lighting is fantastic! I'm still getting the hang of the dvorak layout, so it certainly helps to be able to cheat and look at the keyboard when I don't have the lights on in my room! And as always, gotta love the customization to the Fn+* keys offered by Setpoint. OSD titles are great too.

Cons: Context menu button is shared with Print Screen via a Fn key which is where my trusty context menu key USED TO BE.

Overall Review: The indicators for Scroll/Caps/Num Lock are at the bottom right of the keyboard in that tiiiiny little strip. I thought it was cool at first, after the first three hours it annoyed me, and now (after a week) it's natural to look there.

Works great

SUPER TALENT Gold Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model WA160UX6G9
SUPER TALENT Gold Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model WA160UX6G9

Pros: Took no effort setting this up to it's rated speeds as opposed to the 1066 that is usually the starter when setting up an LGA1366 system. Okay, well I had to change one setting in the BIOS, so there was a little effort.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: The bottom line is I wanted a nice 6GB set of DDR3 that wasn't going to break my wallet after buying all the other components for my computer. Timings haven't been an issue for me since the good old days of running 2-3-3-5-1T on some PC-4000 memory; the raw thorough-put of this kit justifies the money saved on another kit at the cost of a slight (and irrelevant) sacrifice on timings.
