Tilt wheel mouse without the Tilt function?
Pros: Good cheap mouse. Optical tracking with optical scroll wheel.
Cons: No tilt wheel function.
Overall Review: Title says "Tilt Wheel" but there is no tilt function on this mouse, just a regular scroll wheel. I checked on Logitech's site and it does not mention any tilt wheel function so this mistake is on Newegg's site. Do not buy this mouse is you expect or need tilt wheel functionality.
50/50
Pros: Cheap! Straight forward installation. No driver conflicts with 3 other NIC cards in the system including a Rosewill dual NIC card.
Cons: Ordered 2 cards, 1 was DOA.
Overall Review: Luckily I didn't end up needing the second card, but it would have been nice to keep it as a backup. Not worth the return shipping to RMA it. I hope this DOA is not indicative of Rosewill manufacturing QA. Will try my luck with another brand next time.
Won't Last...
Pros: Silent. Easy to install. Works while it lasts.
Cons: The plastic base will eventually become brittle and crack.
Overall Review: I had this cooler for over one year and I recently had to go into my PC to upgrade a HDD when I noticed that the fan was loose. Upon closer inspection I discovered that the plastic base had cracked in several places. The heat must have made it brittle over time. I am not a heavy gamer so heat generated in the case is modest. Save yourself the trouble and buy a cooler with a metal base for the same price. Avoid the plastic types, they will eventually become brittle and fail.
Good but far from perfect.
Pros: It's cheap. Keyboard backlight intensity is just right for working at night. Mouse button locations are fine and is a full sized mouse. The DPI button is a nice feature when switching between gaming and working. Too bad it's not true 2000 DPI (read cons).
Cons: There is no mute button on the keyboard! It's a real pain to have to click on the volume control in windows to mute the sound when I get a call. This alone looses one star and is a major oversight on the developer's part! All to save the cost of one switch? The mouse is not a true 2000 DPI device. This is a 800 DPI mouse masquerading as a high DPI device. It scales up the mouse ticks to 1600 or 2000 through firmware. There is no fine position control at 1600 or 2000 DPI. It's just a gimmick. I do allot of CAD work and this mouse just won't do for me. I've gone back to my 1000 DPI Logitech mouse for now until I find something better. Mouse LEDs are too bright and outshine the keyboard. Mouse wheel started acting up after 2 days. Will sometimes scroll in the reverse direction or not at all which can be maddening when scrolling quickly. No brightness controls but I knew this going in. Keyboard resets the backlight to off when you reboot. It should remember the last setting. Hard to read keys when backlight is turned off or in sunlight.
Overall Review: For the price it's not a bad illuminated keyboard, but the lack of a mute button is really an odd omission for a keyboard with multimedia controls. CM should have dumped the mouse and put more functionality into the keyboard like adding brightness controls, a mute button and white lettering on all keys for better visibility in bright environments. Forget about the mouse. It is only included to bolster the package deal. I bought this for the keyboard but was hoping the mouse would be a bonus given the 2000 DPI claim. Keyboard might be too loud for some. I did not put this as a con since it is labeled as a "gaming" keyboard.
Win't fit Micro-ATX
Pros: Its really small.
Cons: This PSU is advertised as a micro-ATX but it's not. It's a micro-SFX. I don't know who's at fault here (Newegg or Athena) but the box only specifies SFX. So did Newegg drop the ball here or Athena?
Overall Review: I had to make my own SFX to ATX template from an old ATX PSU. What a waste of time. That will teach me to not read the reviews first. The unit I received makes a slight buzzing sound even when turned off. I've never heard anything like this on any other PSU I've owned so I hope this isn't a sign it will die soon. Time will tell.
