Bad apple/fixed/don't care anyways?
Pros: Bought this computer only 6 days ago, came yesterday via mail. I don't have a whole lot of experience with laptops, but I do have quite a bit of experience with computer hardware. Good size monitor 1080p really is all you need, anything else is just excessive and pricey. Good keyboard keys, easy to depress deliberately. Keys are well marked with large bold white letters, which do not illuminate, but are easy to see even at two in the morning in only TV light. As I type this review, I am already typing at probably 25-35 wpm, despite my not being used to a laptop keyboard. Keys are audible but do not make a click, but more of a thud, making them less noticable over headsets and mics. After a skype call, the built in mic works well without very much background noise. Overall pretty fast, and I benchmarked Unigine Valley, I was getting a max FPS of about 55 on high with X4 AA, low of about 20 FPS. So medium settings would be advisable on most games. Good hardware! GTX 960, 8GB RAM, and 2.3GHz Will run pretty much anything.
Cons: Keys do not iluminate. Speakers are very quiet and although they face forward, they are very treble sensitive. And lack any bass, although listening to dubstep would be tolerable because they don't bottom out, they just don't have the bass. which should be expected on a laptop. Keys are somewhat crammed. Biggest pet peeve is that the ShiFT key is cut short by the arrow keys and although I have become accustomed to it, still annoys me at times. Touch/track pad is somewhat far to the left, but works well anyways since it is directly between my hands while typing. Due to the number pad. When laptop first came, would not stay connected to the internet, updating the driver fixed this. Did I mention the keys are not backlit? haha.
Overall Review: 9.5/10 would buy again, had to give it 4 stars simply because there is room for improvement at $800. Started out kinda slow, but after using it for a while it has gotten faster. My suggestion would be to spend the extra $50-100 to get an extra 0.5GHz
Great case for the money
Pros: Solid feeling Steel Body, Very Attractive white and blue contrast, cheap but solid front body panel with plastic but durable buttons, free blue fan in front blowing in for HDD, good ventilation on top, window side, bottom, and back. Window has mounting points for two large fans (180mm?) or one larger fan (220?) IDR, Cable management, solid side panels which remove easily, solid mounting points for all of your hardware, modular sleds for HDD SSD, etc.
Cons: cable management is a little bit tight, I had a fairly hard time getting the backside panel back on after routing, front panel is largely wasted by plastic details which mostly just block air. side plastic window looks nice but collects dust quickly, and is a little bit flimsy but does look nice. mounting points for motherboard were a little off it seemed, but very close and I did get them all.(could have been my MSI MOBO too I guess.)
Overall Review: I like this case, personally the plastic doesn't bother me too much aside from how it collects dust, but it's steel body makes up for most of that. It's durable feel and well placed ventilation makes me feel good even if I don't have that many fans, 7X? good case for $50! only gave 3 stars because its not perfect and there was a few minor bad details. but in the $50 category this case gets 5 stars!
swapped from AMD FX-6350
Pros: slight boost in FPS after switching, maybe just placebo effect. Better TDP usage / lower
Cons: nothing.
Easy enough to set up, fried after 2 years
Pros: Worked fine, didn't bottleneck the system, BIOS was easy to navigate
Cons: Fried after 2 years, could use a few more three and four pin fan connectors.
Overall Review: Meh, it worked fine when it worked.
Expect more for $150, But I got it for free with my GL62
Pros: Heavy duty Zippers. Slick, Thick, Heavy Duty Canvas like Nylon material. Nice comfy straps and sternum strap. Schnazzy red/black theme.
Cons: poor storage layout, would be nice to have some dedicated small pockets for mice, headphones, etc.
Excellent for laptops.
Pros: Small, but fits the entire hand well, (Medium sized grubbers on this here 180 pound ape) convenient easy to find red illuminated corsair logo (ahhh who care really anyways.) Soft smooth clickers that don't extend quite far enough but work well anyways. On my M65 the clickers depress far too easily, these require a deliberate amount of force, but not enough to hinder. Sensitivity button is a single one direction cycle, which is easy enough to use, but may take some time to get used to for FPS games. Grippy sides and a smooth three part base. Sticks to the mouse pad well enough to stay on the couch's arm rest. Nice, heavy, grippy, clicky scroll wheel, audible but not through headsets.
Cons: Cord is not braided like my M65, this one addition would make the mouse elite. It's overall simplicity makes it incredibly fast and easy to use, but the cord is somewhat stiff and although it does not drag, it "kinks" and prefers to stay in its original form. (Not a real hinderance as it can be straightened slightly.) Wish the cord was shorter like 1 1/2 feet or 2 feet as opposed to about 5. Cord is the only reason for being 4 stars, can't understand why Corsair wouldn't employ an existing feature on other similarly priced mice.
Overall Review: Awesome, easy, light, and fast.
