CORSAIR ValueSelect 8GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Laptop Memory Model CMSO8GX3M1A1333C9

Pros: Threw this into my Mid-2011 iMac. Worked like a charm!!

Cons: None save for the fact that I live five minutes from Newegg's NJ warehouse and they first sent my order to a shipping facility 45 minutes north of there! LOL

Most Critical Review

Not what I'd call a "long-term investment"

NETGEAR WGR614 Wireless-G Broadband Router 802.11b/g up to 54Mbps/ 10/100 Mbps Ethernet Port x4
NETGEAR WGR614 Wireless-G Broadband Router 802.11b/g up to 54Mbps/ 10/100 Mbps Ethernet Port x4

Pros: Easy setup and maintenance, nice router...when it works.

Cons: Used it for about a year without problems, now it randomly stops working. Works fine after a reset...for about half an hour.

Overall Review: This is a decently old product; I bought one of these in late 2005. I used it for about ten months without any problems, didn't use it for two years, then used it again for maybe another three without problems. Now, for the past month or so, it randomly stops carrying the internet connection (can still access the router setup page and will still have an IP), and it's not the internet connection, since I just moved and I'm still having the same problem. So if you're looking for a router to last you more than a year...this isn't it. This is also an old product anyway, so don't waste your time and buy something more up-to-date.

AMAZING

Polk Audio TSi100 Loudspeaker Cherry Pair
Polk Audio TSi100 Loudspeaker Cherry Pair

Pros: I was considering these among others, so I went down my local Best Buy and compared these to Polk Audio's T15 ($100) speakers. There was pretty much no contest as the T15's basically sounded like the sound was coming from within a washing machine (apologies for my lack of technical audiophile terms lol). I've been to other stores and listened to Polk's Monitor 30s and R1500 or somesuch, I don't know, they were both $100 and both as bad as the T15's, lol. I then compared these to the Bose 201's, which Best Buy had for only $19 over the price of these, and WHOA, as other reviewers have said, these speakers blew them out of the water. Sound on the TSi100's is clear as a bell, base sounds fine without a subwoofer (although my late 90's Pioneer sub makes them even better lol), everything sounds full and lush and clear. Also, at $150 for the cherry, these are a STEAL. I paid $200 for the black ones, which is the going rate for these speakers everywhere, regardless of finish.

Cons: I had to buy them at Best Buy, LOL.

Overall Review: TRUST ME, if you're broke like me and looking to spend $100 on a set of speakers, RECONSIDER IT and plunk down the extra $50 here ($100 if you want the black ones lol). Again, the $100 Polk speakers I've heard made music sound like it was coming from inside a cave, and the Bose 201's (priced similarly to these) sounded phony and hollow. I would consider using these without a sub if your money or space is tight, so that's another plus, and I'm not sure I could say that about the 201's. GET THESE...oh and buy them from Newegg lol.
