ASUS VN248H-P 24" (Actual size 23.8") Full HD 1920 x 1080 VGA, 2x HDMI MHL Compatible Built-in Speakers Super Narrow Frame Design LED Backlit IPS Monitor

Pros: My other review should be right below this one.

Cons: Added cons after noticing them: Quite visible backlight bleed in the bottom corners (especially the left corner) when screen is dark. Ghosting: When there is motion, especially camera panning like in MOBA or RTS games, it gets kind of blurry and annoying. The motion blur is noticeably worse compared to my old TN monitor which was 2 ms. It's slightly worse in watching videos as well.

Overall Review: Monitor still looks really good for the price, other pros and cons still stand from the bottom review. Newegg won't let me edit my last review so I am posting this new one. Review updated to 4 stars. (If newegg could merge this.. that would be great..)

Good 1080p 27" Monitor

SAMSUNG 27" PLS LCD Monitor 4 ms 1920 x 1080 D-Sub, HDMI SE360 Series S27E360H
SAMSUNG 27" PLS LCD Monitor 4 ms 1920 x 1080 D-Sub, HDMI SE360 Series S27E360H

Pros: Big 27" Inch Monitor -upgraded from 19". 27" is huge and way better than before. Nice design -Thought the white bezel might look weird but it actually looks quite nice and the ToC borders and the transparent part of the stand look really cool. Thin bezel too. Sturdy Stand - I read that the stand was very wobbly on the older version S27D360/390H, but Samsung fixed it in the E series. Stand is very sturdy. 4 ms Response Time -I think this is the fastest response time I've seen for a IPS monitor, usually they are 5 ms+, but of course, I don't really notice any difference Good color -Good color for a IPS monitor. Didn't need to adjust or calibrate the colors. Looks fine out of the box. Simple Monitor Controls -Has 1 joystick button on the back that does everything from powering on to changing settings. Neat design.

Cons: IPS Glow -I experienced IPS glow with other IPS monitors and I thought there would be less on a big brand like Samsung but there are glows on the bottom left and right. Most noticeable on dark scenes. I bought 2 and both have IPS glow. (Note: PLS = IPS for the most part) Text could be better -I knew 1080p wouldn't look as crisp as 1440p for a 27" but I thought text could be upscaled without any problems, however, the text looks a little thin and pixely. Not a deal breaker though. Smudges on monitor -Minor con but I bought 2 of these and both have smudges and an imprint (big rectangular outline in the middle of the screen) from the Styrofoam packaging that pushes against the screen. Can only be seen when I shine a flashlight at an angle on the screen. Not noticeable when monitor is on. No Built-in Speakers -May not matter for most people, but all the other monitors I used had built-in speakers. Had to buy separate speakers for this.

Overall Review: Overall I like the monitor. It isn't as high quality as I was expecting from Samsung but gets the job done. It has some gimmick features like: Game Mode, which makes the screen brighter, more saturated, and sharper, but too sharp in my opinion. Eye Saver Mode, which makes the screen brighter and adds an amber tint and the brightness gradually decreases- to the point where I have to reset it because it gets too dark. Not sure how useful this is, but it does make text look clearer for word processing. Samsung Magic Upscale, this option is completely useless. Turning it on simply adds a layer of sharpness that makes everything look too sharp. Their description of this feature is very misleading, it doesn't improve the quality. Something odd is that the power light is on when the monitor is off and off when the monitor is on. It should be the other way around.. Makes it look like the monitor is on when it isn't, but doesn't really matter. I got it for $200 on sale. Overall, good deal and satisfied with this purchase.

Very good computer

HP Desktop PC Pavilion Elite h8-1039 (QU123AA#ABA) AMD Phenom II X6 1065T 8GB DDR3 1TB HDD AMD Radeon HD 6850 1GB GDDR5 Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Pros: Very powerful- Can run Skyrim on ultra (after I downloaded someone's .ini file) and does non-gaming stuff very fast Great Value- was $679 ($720 with tax)- very good deal on a computer with these components Reliable manufacturer- HP is a reliable company (my last HP computer lasted 6+ yrs) and I have read reviews from other gaming computer manufacturers that computers come DOA and have cheap parts and break down but this computer worked flawlessly out of the box and is very good quality Wireless Connection- I didn't even know desktop computers could have wifi (me=noob lol) so it caught me by surprise when I unplugged this computer from my modem and the internet still worked on the computer Case looks cool- black with a red light across the middle when on

Cons: Not THAT quiet- tons of reviews for this computer say that it is very quiet but it makes as much noise as my old computer but it is not loud either though it can get kind of loud playing a game. (When I first got this comp. it kind of had a loud humming vibrating sound but I tightened the screws on the back and I think that fixed it) Bloatware- comes installed with tons of useless programs (took me a while to figure out what to uninstall)

Overall Review: Shipping took 4 days instead of 3 :/ Comes with a thin keyboard with buttons that don't push down very far (not used to this kind of keyboard but I paid for the computer and not the keyboard anyway) Lags in Saints Row 3 but that is supposed to be a driver problem from AMD and not the hardware (they are supposed to come out with a new driver soon that fixes performance in SR3)

Overall good monitor

ViewSonic X Series VX1932wm-LED Glossy Piano-Black 19" 5ms LED Backlight LCD monitor 250 cd/m2 DC 10000000:1(1000:1) Built-in Speakers
ViewSonic X Series VX1932wm-LED Glossy Piano-Black 19" 5ms LED Backlight LCD monitor 250 cd/m2 DC 10000000:1(1000:1) Built-in Speakers

Pros: Bigger than my old monitor Bright and good color and image quality Good price Monitor looks good Low power consumption yet runs well like any other monitor Received very quickly for free shipping

Cons: No microphone jack :( Integrated speakers sound weird, possibly worse than my old monitor's integrated speakers. You can understand the sound but it sounds kind of muffled and like it comes from under the monitor The glossy look around the screen looks cool but if there is a lot of light behind you, it reflects the light and can look bad No height adjustment (monitor is quite tall may be a pro or con)

Overall Review: I wish it came with a bit for instructions for a complete newbie like it. The only instructions included are how to put the base/stand of the monitor on and how to set the resolution. I know it should be really simple but these are just some minor things I noticed: *Monitor has plastic/transparent stuff on it (around the screen and the stand and I didn't know if I was suppose to remove it or not. *Monitor comes with a blue and white monitor plug but I didn't know which one to use Box it comes in is pretty banged up from delivery so if you like to collect boxes or wanted a new box, don't expect the box to be in good condition Some of the images (even on the box) makes it look like the top left of the monitor is white but it is really all black *The name doesn't say it but this is a widescreen monitor. I bought it not knowing whether it was widescreen or a square. I thought it was a square when I saw the listed dimensions but it is widescreen as the recommended resolution
