EnGenius ESR750H Long Range 300+450Mbps Dual-Band Wireless-N Router
EnGenius ESR750H Long Range 300+450Mbps Dual-Band Wireless-N Router

Pros: - Powerful signal - Feature rich admin interface - Solid WAN router

Cons: - Bad handling of multiple connected devices

Overall Review: I was planning to replace my old WRT54GL with the ESR750H, using the 5GHz band for streaming videos and the 2.5GHz for all other connected devices. Before even trying the 5GHz connectivity, it clearly appeared that the ESR750H would not be able to replace the WRT54GL for standard devices: with 5 connected devices, the WIFI was regularly dropping. With 10, the admin interface wasn't even reachable anymore. I ended up keeping the WRT54GL to cater our standard B/G wifi devices, plugged behind the ESR750H, which acts as the main router connected to the Internet and also broadcasts Wifi over the 5GHz band for a single Cisco bridge in our rec room. With this set-up, the ESR750H delivers stable video streaming over 5GHz and acts as a solid WAN router for the rest of our network.
