This review is from: MOTOROLA SB6141 SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet (RJ-45)
Pros: I have Comcast and I have not had a single problem yet.
Cons: none really.
Other Thoughts: I was skeptical about spending 100$ to upgrade from my 4 year old moto modem. The jump from DOCSIS 2.0-3.0 is surprising. I pay for the 50mb from Comcast and when I would use netflix/hulu on 2 TV's and surf at the same time I could notice a drop in quality and lag. After I upgraded, I have no issues streaming to 3+ devises and surfing.
Also, It helps a heck of a lot to have a very good router. I user that nighthawk net gear one and I love it.
Pros: I've got the thing on my MB as a cache drive and I actually feel it was worth the $80 or whatever for it.
Simple to set up
Cons: I couldn't justify to my wife why I spent money on this
Other Thoughts: was completely an impulse buy to see if I could make my raid drive with my games and media on it more responsive and I think it was a good choice.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Logitech Harmony 650 (915-000159) Universal Remote
Pros: straight forward use, nothing too tricky about it.
Good PC software to program it with
Looks nice, it isnt bulky or ugly to have sitting out
Cons: My ONLY real beef I have with it, and maybe there is a solution for it, but if someone turns on or off the TV not using the remote, you have to cover the IR on the remote and turn the remote to match the status of the TV.
EX if the remote thing your system is off but someone turned the TV on by hand, you have to hit the "watch TV' or whatever button to turn the remote to that setting, but if you dont cover the IR port, it will turn the TV off, ect...
It hasn't been annoying enough to google or figure out if there was a solution, so I wont dock an egg for me being lazy.
