Pros: looks good but thats about it

Cons: first board died when I updated the bios to accommodate my 990X cpu red light came on the board would not boot. Second board did not attempt to update bios getting flaky errors. Also asus suite will not run hangs system. Techs at asus say if if doesn't work don't use it. reported voltage variations on the board techs said it was a problem with the reporting software don't use it. No good for crossfire boards to close together.

Overall Review: Sounds like from the techs at asus, if you have a problem don't use it. So that was a waste of money buying that board for a gaming system.

Pros: board works but not as good as it should

Cons: problems with the board layout, if you have 2 ati HD6900 gpus the gpus must go in slots 1 pcie x16 and slot 5 pcie x8 this is for ventatilation, once board install you are unable to instal any of the edge connectors because the GPUs overlap the headers. The next problem I have is that the sound using 7.1 surround has severe audio clipping. Also it uses a creative CA20K2 audio chip but the creative auto detect software cannot find a creative device.

Overall Review: more thought should have went int the layout

Pros: the only pro is that the board works but it not as high end gamers board.

Cons: 1.)design problem the PCIe slots are X16,X16,X8 and if your have 2 HD6900 series board you must run one in the x16 and one in the x8 for ventilation. 2.) when using 2 HD6900 board as above the one board covers the connectors alone the edge of the board so you can't use them. 3.) the sound porition is the worst there is very bad audio clipping when using 7.1 surround sound. Also the creative labs auto update does'nt work on the sound drivers. 4.) The sysem temp 1 probe is buried under the first video card so it always reads high. 5.) Cost to high for the number of problems

Overall Review: This would be an excellent board if all these problems were resolved, but that means a redesign of the board. Are ther any motherboard manufacturer that take all aspects of the system in mind when they design a motherboard.

Pros: board works great fast until it died

Cons: fan control poor made board overheat and die

Overall Review: need better fans maybe even dual fans run them at a linear curve equal to the temp. While the board worked it was all they talked about, but, if it dies it not worth anything
