This review is from: ASRock Z77 Extreme3 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: The board is pretty nice looking, fancy, etc. Not a bad price for the features but not a great price.
Cons: You can find boards for a little more money that have things like built in wireless... or might take a BIOS update (that was downloaded straight from the vendor website) or maybe would work with a hard drive that isn't brand new (had to special order an SSD drive to work with this, delaying the project even further).
Other Thoughts: Seriously... I've never seen a motherboard that wouldn't work with _any_ hard drive you plug in to it. Why won't this one? Here's what happens: use an older hard drive on this motherboard and when you install Windows 7, it asks for a driver because it can't see the board. Yes, we tried different SATA ports and different settings (ACHI/IDE), it was the new hard drive that made it work.
Oh, don't try a BIOS update either... it wouldn't recognize the three different files we tried. Well, it would recognize them as BIOS update files but then tell us it couldn't load it.
This review is from: SONICWALL 01-SSC-6947 TZ 205 Wireless-N Network Security Appliance 500 Mbps
Pros: I have been working with Sonicwall firewalls for years and I love them. You get all the functionality of Cisco products without the "attend $20,000 worth of classes to do it" problem. Tech support is awesome as well. Yes, for complicated things like forward ports, multiple WAN connections, you'll need help, but I have yet to post something to the support group and not get an answer within 12 hours.
Cons: Make sure you buy it for the size you really need... don't skimp! I tried to use a TZ 210 once (before I knew better) to run a 100+ room hotel... it would do it, but not with intrusion prevention and antivirus scanning turned on...READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I swapped out my dual GTX 9800s with this single card... LOVE IT... I can tell a difference. Mechwarrior Online plays much more smoothly, my Windows Exp score is higher (which, who cares normally, but it actually SEEMS better)... just love the card...
Cons: not really a con, just a warning - if you have an old power supply, you will probably need adapters... these take two 6-pin connections, my older PS had an 8-pin and a 6-pin, not two 6s
Other Thoughts: awesome card... well worth the moneyREAD FULL REVIEW
