This review is from: THRUSTMASTER 2960720 Hotas Warthog Joystick
Pros: Thrustmaster Warthog hands on throttle and stick (HOTAS) is the finest throttle and flight stick controller you can currently buy on the consumer market. It is the gold standard in combat flight simulation. The flight stick alone, the quality of it is worth the entire price of the system.
Cons: Plasticy parts on the throttle, not what i would expect for a very expensive controller. Having owned the TM Cougar, this was the biggest disappointment was the amount plastic on the throttle.
Other Thoughts: In order to calibrate the joystick and throttle manually you'll need to get a utility from TM that isn't linked directly on their site.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I bought two of these bad boys looking to add some spice to my current system: ASROCK Z77EXtreme 4 with a Intel 3570K running at 4.2ghz, upgraded from a single 560GTX card. I bought these because of battlefield 4 coming out and also DCS World now supports SLI which is a truly amazing flight simulator. These two cards let me play everything on ultra graphics settings no matter what game I play. I have had no problems whatsoever. They are the finest graphics cards I've ever laid my hands on. The ASUS 2CU coolers keep the cards nice and cool! They are quiet in comparison to older ultra cards I have had in the past. There is no reason to upgrade the coolers on these unless you're doing the water cooling thing. I saw a poster who said he bought this card to play World of Warcraft on, one of these is overkill for World of Warcraft. Two of these cards in SLI is crazy overkill if your running 1920x1080. In SLI they are really meant to drive 3 monitor setups, or super high resolution monitor setups.
Ordered the cards next day, and they were here promptly the very next morning.
I also picked up 3 x 24" monitors to take advantage of the multi screen gaming and again, the performance of the cards are mind blowing!
Cons: NON whatsoever!!!!!
Other Thoughts: 2 x 780 GTX = overkill and crazy fast performanceREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Vantec Tornado 80mm Double Ball Bearing High Air Flow Case Fan - Model TD8038H
Pros: - Highest air flow for your money
- Good control if used with the Vantec fan controller.
Cons: The noise, but it's worth it and labelled on the back with the specs.
Other Thoughts: I used this item to replace my current fan on my heatsink for a Intel D820.
Before using this item The system under full load was ( both cores in Prime 95) pushing 76+ degrees Celsius within minutes of starting the test which would indicate that it will get a lot hotter before it levels off. And thats when the Intel monitor application says the chip is overheating.
Now with this new fan on there running at full speed and with the system under full load I can keep the CPU temp at about 68 degrees which is within Intel's operating specs. I let it run for a few hours with Prime 95 and the temp didn't budge. I turned the fan down and it still cools very well at its lower RPMs.
This is an excellent fan for overclockers and users who want to use their system under some serious stress, a definite must have.
