Pros: Price, decent performance, feels quality.
Cons: Integrated buttons in the touch pad.
Other Thoughts: I've purchased quite a few ThinkPad's over the years, had been worried the quality would go down after IBM sold the company but so far I've been pleased with the newer TP's I've gotten. Unfortunately this unit has a touch pad with the left and right buttons part of the pad instead of separate as I've had with other models. For people who like to use both hands on the pad this is problematic.
Overall it's a nice laptop, would benefit with a SSD of course.
This review is from: 1Byone Type QS-0059 8.6" Circular Super LED Dome Light
Pros: Bright lights, nice patterns. Kept my daughter happy for 2 days.
Cons: Noisy, noisy, noisy!
Other Thoughts: The unit made huge amounts of noise while running. For some reason it never occurred to me the motor that spins the unit would have to be very strong and the gears would make so much noise. I was expecting something like a reverse disco ball, silent in the background while music was playing. For the amount of noise this unit puts out the music would need to be very loud.
The girls were playing with it in my daughters room, I was told a blanket was thrown on top of it while it was running. The motor burned out, now it just flashes a single red light, no longer spins and stinks from the burned internals. This was obviously not designed to be played with by a couple of 10 year old's. Even so, I can't imagine where this would actually be used with the amount of noise it made, thus I rate it 2 eggs. If the unit was quiet I'd give it 4 eggs, less an egg for the cheap construction.
This review is from: RAIJINTEK EREBOSS CORE EDITION, 6pcs 6mm Heat-pipe, Fully black coated, Copper nickel base, Option to install dual fans, Giant dissipating fin area, Multiple mounting kits for Intel & AMD
Pros: It's big. It's black. It helps keep the CPU cool.
Cons: Fan hooks only work with certain fans.
Other Thoughts: The hooks that hold the fan in place should extend another inch, allowing them to hook into the outside of the fan instead of the inside. This would allow any 120mm to be used instead of only fans that don't have a solid connection between the front and back holes. I had to use the fan from another HSF as all my unused fans weren't compatible (I was able to use any 120mm fan on the other HS).
I'm very pleased with the visual look of the unit as my computer is open on my desktop.
