asrock tech support never responded

ASRock Z87 Extreme4 LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASRock Z87 Extreme4 LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: I left two reviews on this motherboard already. The first review was that it was dead on arrival. I got an RMA after being delayed for a week. The new motherboard worked but had many broken features, it wasn't DOA but it was clearly defective. An AsRock representative replied to me saying to get in touch with their technical support. I placed a support ticket and was ignored. I never heard back from them. I got a confirmation that they got my ticket and never heard from them again. This experience has put me off AsRock for life. I will never buy anything from them again. If my friends ask me about motherboards I will never suggest AsRock. If I ever discuss motherboards I will always say AsRock is horrible.

Overall Review: Bad products and bad support.

horrible experience never buying ANYTHING from Asus again

ASUS 27" 1440P Eye Care Monitor (PB278Q) - QHD (2560 x 1440), IPS, DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI
ASUS 27" 1440P Eye Care Monitor (PB278Q) - QHD (2560 x 1440), IPS, DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI

Pros: Nothing. Stay far away from Asus. They will scam you in the blink of an eye.

Cons: I wrote another bad review on this monitor but for some reason Newegg never published it or contacted me. I'll make this review brief since I've already wasted hours and hours of the past year of my life dealing with this horrible monitor and horrible company. My original monitor had dead pixels and broken buttons. My motherboard from Newegg was DOA and I had to wait for a replacement and then rebuild my system. Because I was building a system from scratch and didn't have a computer of my own I didn't realize the monitor defects until too late. I thought Asus would replace it with one in working condition, and that is where I was wrong. Their RMA process was obviously designed for people to never complete it. It is the most ludicrous thing I have ever encountered. After nearly a year of trying to get a replacement monitor, they sent me one with dozens of dead pixels and a quarter inch horizontal black bar going across the screen. When I demanded another RMA they started dragging their feet even more. I tried to get the BBB involved to force their hand, but Asus just doesn't care. As soon as Asus has your money, you are out of luck if anything goes wrong. Their warranty is nothing short of fraudulent. Ignore their rapid replacement guarantee because it is a lie. Either it is a lie or they think a year to get an equally broken replacement is rapid. At this point I give up. Way to go Asus, you scammed me out of my $700 and stuck me with defective junk. I hope you enjoy the $700 because it is the last money you will ever get from me. I'm never buying another Asus product again for as long as I live, and I encourage others to stay away from this horrible company. I'm going to buy a new monitor from another company because I can't stand having dozens of dead pixels, let alone a quarter inch horiztonal black bar across the screen. I would have bought two B panel 27 inch monitors if I knew Asus was going to send me B panels they pretend are worth $700. I've never been more upset about a purchase in my entire life, I feel like Asus stole my money and there is nothing I can do about it. I already wasted a lot of time trying to get Asus to make things right and they simply refuse to do so. They might pretend they will, but they wont. They will probably reply to this message saying to contact them and they will fix this horrible situation. They aren't going to fix it, I spent the past year trying to get them to fix it. I throw in the towel Asus, you get to keep my $700 and I get your broken defective horrible quality monitor.

Overall Review: If you have anything wrong with any product from newegg, you must return all of them if you can't test the ones that you have. The root of my problem was my DOA motherboard preventing me from testing the monitor before the time to return it expired. In the future if I have any problem like that, I will immediately return all expensive products to Newegg and reorder them. Asus is pretty much a company of fraudsters selling junk products, stay far away from them if you value your money and sanity.

Phanteks is an awesome company

Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BK 140mm UFB (Updraft Floating Balance) CPU Cooler
Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BK 140mm UFB (Updraft Floating Balance) CPU Cooler

Pros: I wrote the previous review about how the caps hang on by a thread. All of the previous pros still apply. The thing is massive, heavy, and it looks amazing. I still have not had a chance to actually use it, but unless it has some unexpected problem I will probably not write another review on it. I just want to leave a review pointing out that I told Phanteks about my trouble with the top caps breaking off, at first they said I should send the entire heatsink to them and they would send a replacement to me. Since it seems like it is just a cosmetic issue I told them that this would take too much time and isn't worth it for me, and that I would just thermal glue the caps back on. They responded right away apologizing and asking for an address to send replacement top caps to! They said that it was no problem to send the top caps, and they only suggested I send the heatsink back so they could repair it themselves. So even though the caps broke off right away, and they are poorly connected to the heatsink, I can give it five stars now because the awesome customer support from Phanteks is going to take care of the problem. They seemed to be eager to take care of my problem and like they really wanted to make sure I had a good experience with their company.

Cons: I still need to list the poor quality of the legs that connect the caps to the heatsink as a con. They really break off very easily. I can see from reading other reviews that it is a fairly common problem, some people have even had the caps already broken off as soon as they get the product. It isn't a really big deal because it is just cosmetic, but when I get a brand new component I want it to look brand new for at least a few weeks! It was also a little hard to get in touch with Phanteks support. At first I filled in the form on their site, but nobody ever responded to it. Then I talked to someone in chat and they gave me an E-mail to contact. After contacting the E-mail I finally got in touch with customer service though, and it went great from that point on.

I didn't win but a cool feature

Intel DIE' NAMIC GIVE AWAY
Intel DIE' NAMIC GIVE AWAY

Pros: A free chance to win some pretty cool prizes, I actually like how not everybody wins because it lets them have better prizes for the people who do win. I didn't win, but I can't complain, it is a cool promotion.

Cons: I didn't win, but it is okay.

Overall Review: Cool promotion intel!
