Good, but
Pros: Tons of options on the remote Lights are bright Easy to hookup
Cons: Needed to use other fastening methods because the glue on the strips weakens and pulls apart when the lights get hot. After about a month of normal use, 1/3 of one of the strands randomly turns green when the rest of the strip is white. This is corrected by turning up the brightness from the remote. It's not worth taking them down and sending them back, so I'll live with it. Because of this, they lose an egg.
Did Not Last
Pros: Worked as advertised.
Cons: Lasted just about six weeks with very limited use.
Overall Review: On the nights I would game, I would hit the button once to switch it to the gaming rig and once to switch it back at the end of the night to the work computer. I did this two to three times per week for six weeks until it died.
Old School
Pros: None
Cons: Windows XP and older support.
Overall Review: Don't even bother with this unit if you're running anything newer than XP. There is absolutely no support or guides to lead you to enable this device on a network.
Terrible
Pros: Typical average anti-virus protection
Cons: Stops the minors, but not the big dog viruses like that FBI scam that freezes your PC and tries to get money from you.
Overall Review: Allowed a registry change to my PC while fully active and updated. The virus disabled ESET and wouldn't allow me to reinstall. After calling tech support, they told me they could fix it for $129. Seriously? Your software fails at stopping the threat and then you try to charge me to fix it?? Isn't this why we have anti-virus protection in the first place? This isn't the first threat that ESET has let through either. It's just been the toughest one for me to fix on my own without having to download a removal tool from their competitors.
Dead
Pros: Only takes a few hours to get used to it. Lighted keys make seeing what you're hitting in the dark very easy.
Cons: Dead after only 6 months.
Overall Review: I purchased this item at a retail store, but appreciate the feedback on Newegg's website, so I'm leaving my review here for the consumers that shop online. No changes made to the PC, no updated drivers needed, no physical damage to the unit. Simply switched off one night and it never turned on again after only 6 months of use.
Junk
Pros: It actually did plug into the IPhone 4S as stated.
Cons: It worked one time. The following time, I had to bend the wire right at the plug to get it to work... after that, it was dead.
Overall Review: I purchased this to avoid having to bring hy home charger between my house and my vehicle to plug into the USB port for music. I don't drive often, so after the first use, it was a few weeks before I even touched it again, only to find it had somehow broken in the time I unplugged it and it sat in my truck in the garage.
