Works
Pros: Easy. Worked.
Cons: Wouldn't play through my HDMI switch (built into Onkyo receiver)
Overall Review: Was able to hook my Lenovo W520 up to my plasma TV to HDMI via the DisplayPort (DP+). The nvidia driver recognized that I plugged it in and made the TV a mirror of the 1600x900 LCD on the laptop. With the the docking station, you might be able to have extended mode and an full 1080i or 1080p to TV, but I could not with my setup
too noisy
Pros: Works, nice size
Cons: Too noisy
Overall Review: Fan runs at startup and then intermittently. Only using it to recharge emergency car starter, so draw is low.
Nice
Pros: Works Seems built well
Cons: None
Overall Review: What more can I say? It's a cable.
Works great in Lenovo Thinkpad W520
Pros: 16GB (4x4) of this has run flawlessly in my W520 w/ 2720QM
Cons: None
So quiet! Works great
Pros: Makes no noise
Cons: Kinda big, but that is okay for my use. needs to disspate heat somehow, so I chose quiet over small.
2nd Crucial M4 512GB Bites the Dust
Pros: When it runs, it is fast, fast, fast
Cons: -Not ready for prime time. -Failed 11:30 pm before flying out 8am for a week long biz trip -It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt
Overall Review: First M4 lasted 3 days and then partition disappeared. Second M4 lasted 2 weeks and most files written in second week became corrupted and unreadable after a reboot (windows reported I/O errors). Only lost some files thanks to nightly backup. Time lost = 80 hours reinstalling multiple times, recustomizing, trying to recover files with robocopy after repeatedly powering off drive, adding a new file to exclude that caused the robocopy to hang (and many times rebooted both my W520 and my desktop). Macrium Reflect would not image after this. Setup: Windows 7 on a Lenovo Thinkpad W520 with a i7-2720QM processor. I am a computer professional in the industry for 20+ years. Even though I work with top notch software/hardware professionals, I am the guy everyone goes to when they get in a jam. I have 3 laptops in my house running on SATA II SSDs and have installed many for other people. I will wait a couple of months for these wounds to heal and see what other drives get good r
