cheapest isn't always best

Pros: One less thing on my desk, one less cord hanging out of the computer (fits in a floppy bay, who needs a floppy anymore?). Read's everything I've put into so far. I've got a giant case, but the cable was plenty long enough to reach a USB header on my mainboard.
Cons: Lot's of trouble transferring from memory cards to USB flash drive plugged into this unit. In fact, if I have a flashdrive and a SD memory card inserted at the same time, ALL the drives disappear from Windows (Vista64). Only full power-down will restore operation.
Overall Review: Using the USB OR various digicam memory cards works fine, just don't expect to do card-to-flash transfers. Not really a big deal, just use your desktop as an intermediate step and you'll have no trouble.
Out of SATA spec

Pros: It's cheap, as in expensive.
Cons: It's cheap, as in cheaply made. The plug appears larger than SATA spec (largest one I've ever seen). It will NOT fit if you are using a SATA power connector next to it. Also fits loosely, even when you have a drive using molex power connector; literally fell out of the socket just by picking up the case and carrying it across the room.
Overall Review: Spend .50 cents more and get a quality cable. NewEgg carries plenty of good choices - this just isn't one of them.
I used to love these drives, but now...

Pros: Fast, durable. Put it on a keychain and just don't worry about it.
Cons: Rear part of the case broke off after barely one year of use. Have to drop an egg for that. Don't know if it's a fluke (I googled and didn't find any similar reports of this happening). My other Survivor-series drives never did anything like that, even with years of abuse.
Overall Review: this is the third Survivor-series drive I've owned. First one (4gb) was killed by connecting to a bad USB port, Second one (8gb) I damaged (bent USB connector about 10-15 degrees) on the first day I had it by not pulling it straight out of the USB slot - but it continued working for nearly 6 years afterwards. Third one (the one in this review) literally fell apart without me doing anything but pulling it out of the USB slot. It still works, but the circuit board is no longer in the casing. It's getting replaced under the 5-year warranty, but I'm not sure I will buy another Survivor when the time comes to replace it for good. And I used to brag about it to geek friends - not sure I can recommend it at all anymore...
Run away, don't walk!

Pros: Inexpensive toner. Four pack is only $10 more than a single HP toner.
Cons: CHEAP. This is at least the third time I've given LaserTek a try. First two times were on my old Brother color laser printer. Both of those times as well as this try, the toners are absolute garbage. They install just fine, but print quality is HORRIBLE. Once or even twice I could overlook, but this is a total of TWELVE toners on two different brands of printer.
Overall Review: Since I'm an idiot, I assumed that I wouldn't have the same problem using LaserTek cartridges with a different printer, so I ordered them at the same time I bought the printer. Was way past the 30-day return limit before I used up the starter cartridges. Now I'm just out the $133. Live and learn...
NOT happy!

Pros: Cheapest Brother-compatible toner on NewEgg! We got a three-pack for what Brother wants for a single cartridge.
Cons: Cheapest Brother-compatible toner on NewEgg! Runs out QUICK, except when it leaks all over the inside of the printer, which makes the toner run out REALLY QUICK! Not to mention causing a giant mess...
Overall Review: I won't be buying this brand again! Wish the Egg let me do ZERO stars...
Nice case for the money

Pros: Lightweight for a steel case. Like the looks of the front panel. Everything fit well, didn't find any sharp edges. Cables for front USB & Audio were long enough to reach my m/b connectors.
Cons: If your motherboard doesn't have the case header connection on the front edge of the board, you might want to skip this case. Mine was on the bottom, but towards the front corner and the case cable (LEDs/power/reset/etc) was BARELY long enough.
Overall Review: Case felt a bit flimsy when empty, but firmed up nicely once m/board and drives were installed. I still don't recommend using it as a BGA.
Decent Enough, slow to ship
Placed an order on the morning 12/3. Vendor didn't ship until evening of 12/5. Still arrived with the "5-7 days" and shipping was free, so I can't complain too much.
