Does not support HDD spin down

Pros: Compatible with Consumer (non-server) motherboards.
Cons: This is a lower line (HBA) controller and does not support HDD spindown during drive inactivity. (older versions of firmware supposedly support HDD power down but LSI has been unable to confirm last version this was supported)
Overall Review: After much reading and many calls, you have to purchase one of LSIs MegaRaid cards starting with the 9260 line on up in order to get the "Dimmer Switch" power down feature. The next thing to watch is that not all of the 9260+ cards support JBOD (which means you would have to run under RAID). The 9265 card DOES support JBOD, does support Intels RES2SV240 expander(per intel site) and does support HDD power down. So for those not familiar with these levels of cards you will have a number of things to watch for.
Complete garbage drives

Pros: None
Cons: I personally own some 40 HDDs and the only drives that continue to fail (some over and over) are seagates. I'm now down to 1 seagate left in my personal server as all the others have failed and because the RMAd refurbs cant be trusted for online daily use. I'm simply beside myself on how horrible seagate reliability is. It's Western Digital from here on out, NO QUESTION.
Great processor, perfect for HTPC and 4k TV/Monitors

Pros: This processor is perfect or HTPC, it plays DVDs, Blurays and 4k content on 4k TV flawlessly. (I've never seen an HTPC setup work so good and play so smoothly) Coupled this with (ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING AM4 AMD B350) motherboard and 16gig of 2400 speed ram. The 2200G drives a 4k TV at 60fps through the integrated GPU. All of the Intel integrate graphics will do 30fps max. Runs super cool with no detectable heat. It is more powerful than the old AMD 1100T systems I'm replacing, for less cost and less power. With an M.2 drive the computer is in Windows in seconds... blazing fast. Can't say enough good things about it. I've been an AMD buyer for years but bought two Intel systems recently for gaming but with the introduction of the 2200G, I'm back to buying AMD again for systems again (right now for non-gaming). UPDATE 3/17/18: For those having issues getting the Radeon Drivers to load (and writing bad reviews) go to Google.com and do a search for AMD 2200G drivers. Go to the AMD 2200G info/support page on AMD's website, Click on the Support link, then click Drivers + Windows 10 and download the latest driver there (Revision 17.40.3701) and that will fix your problems. Anytime you ever have issues with drivers ESPECIALLY on something brand spanking new like the 2200G, just go out to the mfg website and get the drivers. This is an absolute GREAT processor! You get a lot for the money!

Very nice product and works with my 8tb WD!

Pros: Nicely made product. Very, very fast and the built in fan auto turns off when harddrives are turned off. Updating this review (4/6/16): Found that it even works with my new WD 8tb helium drive so it would almost appear that this dock does not have the limitations of others that I have owned in the past where they are made to work with drives up to the largest drives of the time. My old Thermal takes would work up to 2tb but this StarTech looks to take anything you throw at it! This is one for sure you definitely appear to get what you pay for.

Works great

Pros: Bought for my Acer Aspire R7 572. Better signal strength and range than the stock broadcomm. Don't regret the purchase at all.
