This review is from: Silverstone AP121W-USB Air Penetractor USB Powered Desktop Fan, White
Pros: I use this to blow air into a costume head after taking it off that gets hot and sweaty on the inside. It is the perfect size to put in the neck of the head and the stand attached to it allows me to prop it up very easily. It's is great that it runs off just 5v because I can hook it up to my usb device charging battery and not need an outlet to power it which is quite a convenience. I don't ever use it to cool myself off. Once it gets warm enough that I need some kind of fan I point a small 120vac fan at myself.
Other Thoughts: I accidentally broke one of the plastic clips off that holds the grill on when I took the grill off. It still stays on well though. You probably won't ever have any reason to take the grill off, I was just taking it off because I take all my things apart and put them back together.
It could stand to blow more air for my application but it gets the job done well enough.
This review is from: Case Logic Black 18" Laptop Case Model VNC-218
Pros: This laptop bag is big and durable.
I know another person who got a very similar Case Logic laptop bag for his Asus ROG laptop and he is happy with the bag too.
Cons: When holding the bag on my shoulder with all the weight of my heavy laptop in it, the plastic clips squeak. The other person who got this bag has the same problem. Metal instead of plastic clips would probably solve that problem.
Other Thoughts: I bought this bag because it is one of the few quality ones that is large enough to fit my Asus ROG laptop. If you are looking for a laptop bag that is big enough for an Asus ROG laptop (made obvious by the two large quiet heat vents on the rear left and right) then this is the bag for you. It fits the ROG series laptops almost perfectly.
Unfortunately this bag isn't big enough for me because I tend to shove everything I can into a bag so that I will have everything I could possibly need with me at any given time. Power strip, mouse, notebook(the paper kind), assorted cables, screw drivers, deodorant, and a bunch of other computer tech related tools. I think I just need a large backpack but I didn't feel like spending the money.
Pros: Price / performance / capacity ratio is good. No problems to report after about 4 months. The person I bought this hard drive usually has his laptop turned on 24/7 and doesn't move his laptop around since the battery is dead.
Other Thoughts: I purchased this hard drive as an upgrade for someone's laptop. He asked for a 250 GB hard drive but after showing him the price difference between 250 GB and 1TB he wanted 1TB instead.
His old hard drive failed due to overheating because the he NEVER blew dust out of the laptop. There was a layer of dust on the heat sink that peeled off like felt. This is the second time I've dealt with a hard drive failure due to overheating from improper customer maintenance. I have since learned that using the possibility of hard drive failure is a much better incentive to get people to blow dust out of their computers than just using the word overheating.
