Pros: Simple and does what it's suppose to.
Cons: None
Overall Review:
Been using it for about 2 years. No complaints.
A well made piece of equipment. Does its job well.
Pros: Metal case, inexpensive, decent speed 896mbps out of 1 gigabit measured transfer rate
Cons: None really
Overall Review: I got this to get all the ethernet ports work in my house, it's great usually getting new networking stuff has a bunch of problems and troubleshooting to get working, but this just worked out of the box perfectly to turn 1 ethernet into 8.
Pros: Seemed like a good deal at first.
Cons: After reading the reviews I noticed one from December 2018 that stated that the switch did not have separate LEDs for the link speed as pictured and described on the Specifications page. The manufacturer acknowledged this hardware change and said they would have their ecommerce team check into to. So here we are nearly ten months later and Newegg is still showing a picture of a switch with an LED for 1000Mbps and one fopr 10/100. You can see the current version of the switch pictured on the manufacturer's web site. It has only a single, tiny LED. I don't want that.
Overall Review: I should have known it was bad as soon as I saw the word "Green".
Overall Review: This is just what I needed. The case is made of metal and feels solidly constructed, fanless design mean there’s absolutely no noise, 8 1-Gb ports gives me plenty for what I need, and the low price that I got it for made the entire package a super deal for me. Love it and I recommended.
Pros: Every Saturday I run full backups of 3 drives and a subvolume over 7 hours, beginning with a 4-hour backup-and-compare of a MacBook Pro over my LAN. For a period of 4 weeks earlier this summer, the Mac Pro "backup server" computer was getting a "network connection timeout" after about 2 hours of backup. With this pair of Gbps switches replacing my old Netgear Gbps switches, the LAN backup-and-compare runs to completion.
Cons: The LEDs on these switches are smaller than the LEDs on the Netgear switches, so it's more difficult to see them blinking from across my bedroom to know whether the LAN part of the backup is running. Fortunately I also have a Motorola MoCA adapter with larger LEDs in the bedroom, so I can see those blinking instead.
Overall Review: These were a temporary bargain I snapped up. NewEgg should make that bargain permanent, because Gbps switches are being obsoleted by 5Gbps and 10Gbps switches for LANs that are through-cabled for those speeds—which my LAN is not because it has a MoCA segment.
Pros:
-Nice sturdy metal case. I had been using cheaper low cost switches which worked fine but felt like they were flimsy. This just has a nice solid feel to it.
-Individual port LEDs that display the varying port speeds.
-Wall mount cut outs.
-Gigabit. Nice and fast with 4 PCs transferring data. I had seen some slowdowns with cheaper switches but this performs great.
-Great price/value
-Small footprint for 8 ports
Cons: I really cannot think of one. It just works.
Overall Review:
I received this as a review unit and I was glad to get something that I would use full time. This thing does the job.
I have put this in as my full time switch. It regularly has 4 PCs connected full time to a wireless router. I am getting great transfer speeds of about 120 MB/sec. Each port having its own informative indicators is a nice touch. The ports are forward facing so keep this in mind per your application. I have it wall mounted so the design is fine.
UPDATE: 7/17/2019
After 6 years of flawless and constant service this unit is starting to act odd. At first I thought it was just cable dropping out but wifi was working. Turns out only the 6 devices on this switch were dropping. A power cycle brings everything back quick enough but this has happened half a dozen times in the last month or two. Either way, I will probably replace it soon enough.
If you need to expand your wired network I think this is perfect. With the metal case this thing is as sturdy and pretty as a switch is going to get in my opinion. I even like the texture of the paint? Odd but true. You can find cheaper 8 port gigabit switches but I would suggest spending the extra $10 and get this.

Pros: Compace and energy efficient switch
Cons: Dispaly activity light and plug in at the same side, a lot of cable messy for this switch. I perfer the traditional way activity light on front and plug in ehternet cable on the back
Overall Review: I wonder there is no power switch for this switch because no activity for this switch only burning .5watt. With one pc on with activity 1.2 watt, it burns very little energy. I am comparing this devie with my 2014 D-link green switch which is burning much more energy. the power supply for this swich is 9 volt and .6 amp (5.4 watt max) My 2014 D-link green switch's power supply is 5 volt and 2 ampere (10 watt max). Technology has been change a lot as time goes by. I use them to connect my router to expand more ports for my devices for upstair and downstairs devices.
