Overall, It's GREAT.!
Pros: THe pros are: great comfortable keyboard, 6gb of ram and quad core processor, decent battery life, thinner than i thought it would be, screen can get the job done.
Cons: WINDOWS 8. it has some type of UEFI secure boot downloaded with it, preventing you from dualbooting. what a gimmick. i completely wiped windows 8, replaced it with win7 pro, which allowed me to dualboot with ubuntu. my advice to anyone looking to dualboot: be aware you have to wipe the hdd in order to achieve it....
Overall Review: Windows 8 is my only complaint. it took me and my IT guy like 6 hours to be able to dual boot with win7 and ubuntu, a huge waste f time. so ya, windows 8 "start screen" ??? ....or whatever they call it, is completely laughable. i have no idea why windows 8 is desirable to ANYONE on this planet. it is complete garbage. the reason i KNOW THEY (microsoft) know that win 8 belongs in the trash is because there secure boot, UEFI and partitions settings completely and utterly block you from doing so. THAT BEING SAID, i LOVE this little thing, i bought it on sale for 400 bucks and i dont regret it whatsoever. i was used to usigng an ectremely outdated hp desktop from like 2009 that is awfully slow compared to the K55N.
